LifeWay 2010 Vacation Bible School

After several weeks of hints and teaser videos, LifeWay has announced their VBS themes for 2010. Their main theme is a Western VBS curriculum called “Saddle Ridge Range” and includes all the expected cowboy, rodeo, and Southwestern elements. The key verse is James 1:5, “Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.” (HCSB) And the VBS motto is “Need Answers? Ask God!”

One interesting note, their website positions this as “an evangelistic VBS.” This is the first time I’ve noticed that in the marketing. This might be a good approach for LifeWay to set it’s VBS apart from others. Most curriculum publishers seem to be shying away from the evangelistic component of Vacation Bible School.

They have the official website for Saddle Ridge Ranch online. It has the theme song available for download. After my first listen, I liked it. Expect more information later this summer. You can also read the news release on LifeWay’s website.

My Review of Saddle Ridge Ranch Vacation Bible School

I’m waiting for more information, but check back later this summer for my detailed opinion and review of this Vacation Bible School curriculum.

Love your website! I have been our Children’s Pastor for 2 years now, and your website has helped me SO much with VBS materials. Thank you for providing such a well-rounded, all-inclusive review of publishers.

Hi! I just came across your site while researching our VBS options for 2010. so far I love what I see! I am not finding your full review of LifeWay 2010 VBS’s like your 2008 review. If you have one I would really enjoy seeing it.
Thanks for All you are doing for the Lord in your service to Him for His smallest children!

Thanks for all of the updated information and much needed support for all VBS leaders, who start so early as we plan, promote, and PRAY.
It will be a great VBS theme,
God is good, ALL the time……

Happy Trails…….

Hi, I go to Cornerstone Babtist Church and we’re going on this mission trip to Tennesee and we’re also going to be helping with VBS this year and I came to your website, hoping that I could find the dance moves to the theme song. My youth leader had a dvd that had the song, instructions, and performances. But I don’t have that cd and I would like to learn the moves ahead of time. Could you direct me to a link or something to where I can look at the moves again? Thanks.
