Finding the right material for your children’s church ministry can be a challenge. But week after week, the kids in your church depend on you to teach them about God. One of the most used sections of this website is our Bible lesson plans for kid’s church.

That’s why I’m letting you know about another great ministry resource. Kristin McPherson, the creator of the Children’s Church Ministry website, contacted me with a really cool offer. She has released a helpful new ebook titled “Four Weeks of Children’s Church” – and she wants to give away three 3 copies here on our site. If you’ve never heard of Kristin’s website, you should check it out. She has tons of free content to help with children’s church.

Funny how God works….I was just sending my sister a link to this site, when I saw this offer. She has just started a childrens church at the church she attends. Their church is small, mostly elderly folks, and operating on a small budget. But she decided they needed something for the little ones. I think this would be perfect for it.

Winning would not only be great, but a blessing for them.

We recently had a study on Daniel and I was able to capture the interest of one of the children who is always expressing his boredom. I also want to give God the glory for this task. Praise his wonderful name.

Wow! this resource would be a huge blessing and I would love to win.
I’ve just started coordinating Kids Church this year and also running SUPA clubs and I am on the lookout for helpful resources.
Something unique about our kids church is that we are a newly planted church and have between 60 and 70 kids already between age 3 to grade 5. we do the same bible passage as what the adults are doing in hoping this fosters further discussion/learning at home.

I would be grateful; Lord knows who to bless and how to do it. I trust Him with the results in all. What a good ministry this is to encourage those in charge of kids.

54 Amy Zubieta August 27, 2009 at 12:18 pm

I am the “Middler” (age 8-11) Sunday School Teacher at our church. I want to win because we are a small church with limited resources (financial and English speaking people). Our Friday night service has very low attendance because we do not have any kind of class for kids; thus they get bored sitting in the sancturary with parents and in the end parents stop attending. I feel that if we could offer a type of “children’s church” during the Friday night service, perhaps attendance would increase if parents and children know there will be some kind of “entertainment” or “childcare” where kids will learn and still have fun. I think our church has great potential for reaching our community, but need the right resources.

55 Ce August 27, 2009 at 12:19 pm

57 Carol Watson August 27, 2009 at 12:40 pm

I want to win! As Children’s Church Director, I am always looking for resources to keep the children interested in the word of God and His plan for their lives.

58 Monique August 27, 2009 at 12:57 pm

I expect to win! God has been so good to provide everything that I need to rebuild a youth ministry at our church. Sadly, our youth ministry was destroyed several years ago before I came to the church because of a pedophile who was later convicted for his actions. The program was dead and the community didn’t trust our church. Their have been other churches in the area of who have fallen victim to the same sin and my prayer is that they will believe God to help them in their journey of healing and training to prevent such sin. By the grace and power of God, the youth ministry is rebuilding with safe practices and informed parents. Any materials that are available to help us share the love and freedom of Jesus Christ to reach out to youth, we believe God will provide. He is an amazing God! We just have to believe that He is able to do what He says He will do in our lives and our ministries! I believe God has a special call on the children that I work with with and the ones to come and I plan to believe God to provide any and everything they need to be all that God has called them to be!

59 El August 27, 2009 at 1:07 pm

We wanted to have a summer program to draw unchurched, neighborhood kids to God. However non-traditional school years presented a challenge because many of the church school leaders were also volunteers/workers in the non-traditional schools which demanded they return to the Monday to Friday job after just a few weeks with Summer Church School. The non-traditional school calendar so impacted our program that we didn’t have a summer church school this year. This resource might be just what we need as a core around which to reestablish that summer community and year-long connection.

60 Janice Guthrie August 27, 2009 at 1:18 pm

I want to win. I feel like I am in a dry spell, I need something different. (Help)

61 Alexa Lysander August 27, 2009 at 1:24 pm

I’d love for our church to win this. I’ve been assisting with the kids; for a small church we have more kids than some of the larger churches in our area. And yet we’re the ones who struggle most in ministering to our children.

My vision for our children’s ministry is not only for them to learn about God’s love for them, but for them to be aware that when they become Christians that they have a responsibility to minister to others.

Right now, the situation is rather sad regarding Children’s ministry. Every week the children’s church is taught by rotation, and there is no curriculum. Everyone just does what they want to; sometimes it seems they don’t even get a lesson but just get to play games and/or color.

If anyone does pray for those who comment, I’d ask for prayer for our children’s ministry. And for God to show us where and how we need to proceed.

Thank you for doing such a great job! God bless you!

I love to talk and share about my ‘kids’ and our little church.

This is my 30th Anniversary of serving in Children’s Church, and my style is definitely closer to “Old School”. The real modern stuff seems kinda “light & fluffy” like a Twinkie…not a lot of Bible meat.

Children’s church is something we will be starting up soon. Our church is building an education building as we will have to room. At my previous church, I led our children’s worship and it had such a great impact on the kids. I am looking forward to working with children’s church again. This will be new for our church. Since we are working on the building, our budgets are very tight. This would be a great resource for us to begin with.

Because I am children’s director, have thought about adding children’s church. We already have a program of sorts with the 2′s, but nothing organized. Would love to have a chance to try “Four Weeks of Children’s Church”

Well, we would surely be grateful for any help in the children’s area. There is so much out there, but not all of it is very useful or delightful to our kids. Your material surely does look good and even though it seemed as though there are too many to count in front of my post…..I STILL WANT TO WIN!

I would love to win this book. I just found this website and it looks really interesting. We have grown in our Children’s Church group from 8 to 25 in just a few weeks and I feel like this would help us engage our children and teach a wonderful lesson from the Lord that will one day change their lives.

My husband and I are the children’s directors for our church and we have a program we call JAM (Jesus and Me) in a small town on a Wednesday evening. We would be delighted to have more resources and are always looking for ways to make teaching a delight for our staff!!

I would love to win! It would be such a blessing. I have been teaching children’s ministry for the last 8 years. It has been an honor to work with the children through the years. I now have a group of 3yr old through 2nd grade which are very delightful. We have a very small church and funds are very short right now. I do not want to bore the older children who have been known to tell me, “We’ve done this lesson before.” But, the funds are not available for new lesson plans. Any help is appreciated as I am sure each of the other posts have the same issues.

Woo Whoo! Free stuff! I am new to this site. My husband just stumbled across it. I run a small sunday school, 15-25 children. I always have an eye out for challenging curriculum. I find this offer intriguing.

I would love to win! We are an order congregation and while there are only a few children who are members of our church, Gid has put it on my heart to be a beacon in our neighborhood, a safe haven to feel the love of Christ within our walls. Thank you ‘_’

I’ve finally been given the opportunity to change the format of our children’s alternative worship. This could be a great resource tool.

131 Emily August 31, 2009 at 11:22 am

I would love to win! Our children’s church is unique because we focus just on delivering a message to children that they can understand during the sermon…the parents love having their children in worship and getting a break during the sermon!

Hi, I’ve just stumbled onto your blogsite from my Google Reader. What a blessing! I think I’ll be able to find some great insight from your words! My husband and I co-teach a class at our chuch of 1st-3rd graders. We’ve used many curricula and are still on the search to find a curriculum that meets our needs.

133 andrea simmonette August 31, 2009 at 2:01 pm

I would love to win. Our children’s ministry is small and we’re on a very small budget, so I really could use help finding a good curriculum to fit our church’s needs. Thanks for the opportunity!
