We had one in our church on the annual children's day this month (22nd Aug ) and it was wonderful. We had children of 10 and below giving out more than 30 memory verses and reciting whole psalms. It was an eye opener to what the children can learn if given the right motivation and encouragement. It is our view that these verses will remain with them for life. Next year we are planning a bigger event with more children from different branches involved. I am glad to hear that there is something like this. He made it into the top 100 in the nation. Woo hoo! The really amazing part is that he prepared almost totally on his own. My father was in the hospital for nearly 60 days this summer, and my husband was laid off also. It was just crazy at our house, but through it all my son studied and studied and studied!
