Most of us in kids ministry get excited about sharing the Gospel with the next generation. In fact, telling about Jesus and his love is the #1 motivation for me. But sometimes in the busyness of church work, our message can become compromised.
There are forces in the world at work to marginalize, distort, and replace the biblical good news with counterfeits. The scary part is how many sincere believers have accepted these impostures as the real thing. The Church today needs to examine the scriptures and verify afresh that we’re actually telling the message of our Lord.
My friend Trevin Wax has written a new book with exactly that goal. It’s called Counterfeit Gospels: Rediscovering the Good News in a World of False Hope. I’ve been reading this book and want to recommend it to you. Below is my short video review and an introduction to the book from its publisher.
