Looking for Craft Ideas Besides Coloring Pages

Sunday School Crafts

Are you falling into a rut with the craft selection for your children’s Sunday School class? You are not alone, most of us default to Bible coloring pages when we can’t find anything better to do.

Recently a Facebook reader asked me this question:

How about a craft that doesn’t involve coloring? My son always hated coloring because he has issues with fine hand motor skills.

Watch this video for a few simple ideas that could help you overcome the coloring page habit. You can also watch the video post about alternatives to coloring sheet crafts on You Tube. I also recommend the craft demonstration videos from Cullen’s Abc’s.

Need More Ideas? Then check try adapting some of these VBS craft ideas to use in your Sunday School. We also have a resource page that links to free Bible craft ideas for Sunday School.

Mandy,

I love your illustrations of the Armor of God and Thank you God for My Pastor. My grandchildren are spending the weekend with me and we will use these.

There are bazillions (ok – slight exaggeration) of foam craft projects in stores and online (Oriental Trading). I’ve completely gone to using glue dots. They work well, and there’s NO MESS. lol I’ve also seen a couple foam projects that I took ideas and made with card stock. Having precut pieces helps the kids with time, and they can spend their time assembling. A little more time in planning, but less frustration in class.
