We are a very small rural church with only 4 children in our kids church. Our congregation is about 20 people. We buy a lot of supplies and curriculum for the kids out of our own pocket. I am always looking for ideas to keep the kids excited and interested. All of the kids with the exception of my 9 year old son are new to church. I try to teach the basics to the unchurched and not bore or “lose” my son in the process.

To be quite frank, I am tired of the same old, same old! We have a market that is inundated with materials that are full of fluff and are watered down! Its time that we start breathing life into the kids that are in our ministries and give them the tools they need to be who Christ has called them to be. We are going to seriously look at this program and see how it would fit into our dynamics. Its sad, but I believe our kids have come to expect the typical lessons about Noah, David & Baby Jesus, but truth is they are hungry for more. Not to mention that most of our leaders are ready for more too! I like the fact that they have incorporated characters that the kids can grow with, and a website for our families, now that is ingenious! I love that! Its not our job to bring these kids up in Christ, its our service. Its the command of the household to be instructing in the ways of the Lord, But reality is that so many of our young families are new too to Christ and they just are so unsure. So providing them with a website that builds off of what the lessons were is just awesome!

Kudos DiscipleLand!! If it is everything that I have read it is, then Praise God!! We have finally acknowledged that our kids are worthy of the Gospel in its wholeness!!

I have been searching for years for curriculum that is different or “out of the box” approach…this looks like it could be it! I know when I study I do not like to get bogged down or get bored because I know if I am the kids will be…then you have to use your imagination on how to change it so it will be fun. Something the kids can use in day to day life…learn how to apply the Word to their lives. Not just the stories of the bible and leave it at that! This looks really good ! I would like to give it a whirl..esp since we are having to basically start over at our church again…we’ve had a big turn over…our oldest son even left but he is in the Army serving our country! We are in the process of rebuilding …our kids ministry is severely lacking … lacking for teachers and students at this point…so we need a big boost in this area! Thanks for offering such wonderful tools that we could possibly win for our churches!

I love your website so far. I would love to have more of your curriculum ideas. Our church is just in the licensing process to begin a child care center, and we will be using a lot of ideas from your site.

As usual, yes, I would like to win!
I have been shipping curriculum overseas to Ghana and India so the ministers there can learn to present the Gospel to the kids in a fun and age-appropriate manner. Children’s ministry overseas is in its infancy, and so many pastors have shared with me that they are trained to minister to adults only, not children.

I am always looking for quality material for our kids chapel that is affordable. FREE is well within my price range.

How could you not want a curriculum that has a strong focus on the gospel and missions? This age group in our church is the largest and needs some good solid teaching on the gospel. We would love to have this curriculum to teach and train our children as God has called us to.

I am a substitute Sunday school teacher. We too, have a very small country church and currently only have two regular children in our class. (both aged 9) The teacher uses the same stories over and over again. They are wonderful very exact bible stories. Just yesterday, the teacher asked me if we shouldn’t think about doing something a bit different for the summer. I said that it would be a wonderful idea to do something different, but still keep it in line with the teachings of the Word of God!! This DicipleLand Children’s Bible Curriculum sounds like just the answer that we are looking for. May God bless each of you for the work that you do for the Lord in leading our young generation to Christ!

I’ve used your website for many sunday school ideas, since we are a small church. I’m also working on some ideas to put together a VBS for the apartment that my familly just moved into. I would appreciate it if our could please enter me into your contest for the free curriculum. Keep up the great ministry that God is using you in. :)

I have been involved with children for the last 25 years. But I currently work with 2-5 year olds. Our children’s ministry is always looking for new an innovative ways to present the gospel to our kids. Many minister’s in our area told us we were wasting our time trying to put so much into our children’s department because we have a bus ministry that cater’s to the children. Plus we even have the feeding ministry. All of this of course costs. But others said it would be a waste of time. And cost way too much. Our Pastors however, believe that our children are very important just like they were important to Jesus. I would love to win the discipleland curriculum for our children’s ministry. What a blessing it would be for the teachers in that age group.

Free is a great price. I really am on the lookout for materials/ideas these days so…

13 Kay June 8, 2009 at 6:43 pm

I have been recently been placed in charge of the children’s ministry at my church. I’ve been working with children in a daycare/school setting, but not in the childrens church ministry. Over the years working with children has allowed me to be even more creative than I originally am. The children in my church have showed me so many things, I would like to have some creative, fun, Christian based materials to return the favor. I would love to challenge the children to want to learn more about Jesus and His ministry. I would use your materials to expand, explore, and create a childrens ministry that would have the children beating their parents out the door on Sunday mornings, prepared to serve God.

I’d love to win… I love new stuff for the kiddos!

15 Kim June 8, 2009 at 9:19 pm

I would donate it to our Sunday School.
Thanks for the giveaway!

16 Stacey Clark June 8, 2009 at 11:57 pm

We are currently looking for new children’s curriculum. We would love to have the DiscipleLand Children’s Bible Curriculum to use in Sunday School!

17 Nathan June 9, 2009 at 12:05 am

Thanks for the giveaway. We would likely use it either in the fall/spring or during the summer. I’ve really enjoyed your blog and Christ-centered info.

18 Denise Marshall June 9, 2009 at 7:36 am

Our children’s sunday school is where my heart is. Jesus used everyday life experience’s when he would teach to help the people understand. Our small church has decied that we will continue to look for free sunday school curriculum. Let’s face it time’s are tough and church’s are feeling the impact. This would be a great way to bring something to sunday school to help out the teachers. Thank you so much for the chance.

19 Joy June 9, 2009 at 10:08 am

I teach a Sunday school to a wide age group (5-11) and occasionally a few preschoolers come in to see what we are doing. I search for new and fresh ideas to keep their attention. It is a tough job but I love it. I am very interested in receiving free materials. Thank you and God bless your ministry.

20 Al Chandler June 9, 2009 at 12:55 pm

*Please note: Tony, we are not wishing to win this prize because we just started DiscipleLand this past Sunday!!

Our teachers absolutely love the lessons and the overall vision of DiscipleLand! We’re still making a transition from our previous curriculum and have some bugs to work out, but we are completely excited about the discipleship of our children and the partnering with parents to accomplish that goal. If anyone decides to seriously consider DiscipleLand, I highly recommend that you take a weekend and bring in their consultant, Dick Crider, to meet with parents and teachers for a handful of training seminars/workshops.

What a blessing it is to have quality companies for churches to partner with!!

21 Sarah Henry June 9, 2009 at 1:09 pm

I would like to win . Thank you for this opportunity. Iwould use this at my church to help the children grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ.

22 Amber Morrison June 9, 2009 at 1:23 pm

I currently use discipleland with our elementary kids and they love it. The teachers love it as well. I have considered doing an adventure series over the summer so this is perfect timing.

23 Peter June 9, 2009 at 2:31 pm

I’d turn this over to our Children’s Minister so we could investigate using this for our older kids. Free would be worth trying out, especially with the sort of reviews this has received. I’d love to have something in place that is life-changing for our kids.

24 Karen Jordan June 9, 2009 at 3:47 pm

DicipleLand looks great! I am impressed with how much information is on the website, how the curriculum is undated, how it is teaches more Bible, and how the program appears to really keep the kids interested!!! As our church’s Sunday School Superintendent, I am always on the hunt for new and exciting programs, and I look forward to getting the catalog in the mail. I am also interested in the “ungraded”aspect of the program…we tend to have a wide variety of ages/skill levels and it would be nice to be able to tailor programs to their needs. And since money is tight, free would be wonderful!!!

25 Linda K June 9, 2009 at 5:13 pm

Help! We have a small church and no one wants to teach sunday school. So, here I am. I have never taught and I don’t know where to begin. Some days are great and on other days, even I get bored.

26 Norma Smith June 9, 2009 at 10:11 pm

I am a preschool/kindergarten department head. We have a medium size church and I have approximately 15+ children on Sundays. What I have seen from your samples is very much to my liking. The curriculum our church uses is really getting out of touch with my age group. I hope to convince our board of education to allow me to make a change. Pray for me and be blessed

27 Laurie Magee June 10, 2009 at 1:05 am

I help plan the junior worship service at our church and we have been looking into some new curriculum. I was actually just reading about this material and it looks promising. This would help me decide whether I should try to convince the congregation to pay for this much material. Our kids are really into AWANA but our jr worship needs some material to match.

28 Warren Weeks June 10, 2009 at 3:31 pm

I am always looking for good resources. I would like to have the opportunity to win the DiscipleLand resources.

29 Douglas Reid June 10, 2009 at 4:04 pm

We have been looking for curriculum since day one.

30 Sheryl Moore June 10, 2009 at 10:21 pm

Wow..what a concept! A package that actually has all of the ingredients to keep children interested, and more importantly coming back to learn more about Jesus! I’ve just been appointed as our church’s Christian Education Administrator, and am looking for new and exciting curriculum to bring our children’s Sunday School and Childrens Church up to date. I believe that this is just the ticket! It has something for every age group, as well as remembering the parents involvment in their childrens spiritual growth. Cost is always important, and I believe that this program will help us be better stewards of what God has given us. All in all…an A+!

31 Myrna June 11, 2009 at 12:53 pm

Hello,
We are a mid-sized church looking for ways to show our kids the wonders of Jesus Christ, but we need something other than the things that they already know. A lot of our kids have stopped coming or have developed attitudes because they say that they already know everything we teach. We really need new curriculum to help our teachers step out of the box and keep the kids coming, so that they too may know the love of Christ.
Thank you,

Myrna

DiscipleLand looks AMAZING! I currently work as a teacher for a Christian after-school program that serves underprivileged kids (they live in government-subsidized housing) in Richmond, VA. We have a 30 minute bible time at the beginning of the day, and I’d love to use this curriculum to teach these future world-changers about God and His love for them! This curriculum would really help me in my efforts!

33 Amanda S. June 12, 2009 at 1:39 pm

I’m the Children’s Ministry leader at a small church, and we could definitely use this!! Thanks. :)

34 Latoya June 12, 2009 at 2:16 pm

We are a small ministry but the children are enthusiastic about learning about Christ. This curriculum would a great help to the sunday school. Most of the lessons we teach are a derivative of what the pastor is teaching the older members and the children ministry just makes it child-friendly. Our budget is really tight and at this point any help is a great addition to spreading the Gospel. Thanks for this opportunity

35 Beth B June 13, 2009 at 5:56 pm

This may be EXACTLY what we’re looking for… I must agree with one of the previous posts, that, children deserve to be taught bible lessons strait up and not watered down because of their age!

For a while now, the ladies on our Children’s Minstry team have been filing through our old lessons because it has been difficult to find something that fits the “new” group of children coming into sunday school age; some have graduated to the middle school group leaving a bunch of VERY young ones. From what I can see (as a Rookie kid’s-church teacher), this certainly meets and exceeds the expectations teachers want in a curricullum. Thanks for an opportunity to win such a resource.

My husband and I are starting a church with two other couples. We’re focusing on young singles and married couples with small children. I’m looking for information that will apply to several age groups. This curriculum is great. It is exactly what I’m looking for and of course we’re on an extremely limited budget. Sunday, June 21, 2009, is our first official Sunday for Church, Sunday School and Children’s Church. I’m still trying to think of a cool name we can use for the children’s church program. Any ideas I’d be glad to hear them?

Thank you.
Christie

Free is awesome. When you have a small church and a pretty strict budget. I did check out the samples. Very nice, everything from lesson to an activity planned out perfectly. Great color and illustration. It appears to be a great way to go. Thank You, Miss Kim

At a time in our history when people are busier than ever before, it is of utmost importance to do what we do most effectively. Matthew 28:18-20 says, “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given unto me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” The Discipleland curriculum first caught my attention by it’s title. The purpose of the church is to make disciples, and we are currently seeking material to do just that. I looked further at the material and realized that it is excellent. It has the Gospel laid out for the children to understand everything that Christ did and to realize that to be a true disciple of Christ they are to imitate Christ in character and conduct to the best of their ability.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Jessica
