I'm a 32 yr old Kids Pastor at a small Southern Baptist Church. I have 6 kids under roof, one adopted, one foster and four biological. My favorite thing about children's ministry is watching as kids learn to love God.

Hi, everyone! I am a children's church teacher from Columbia MO. Have taught CC for about 15 years. Love the kids and their energy! I have 2 grandchildren, they are both babies. I help in AWANA, and usually direct the children's holiday plays, too, but am now in college (since I am a displaced factory worker) and am having to ask others for help. I know that is how God grows ministries, and am thankful for that.

Hi! my name is Linda. I am a chuch based daycare (older) two year old teacher. I have been in this job for 13 years and love it! The kids are so eager to learn about Jesus as many of them do not go to church. I am also the Children's director at our church and I am always looking for new ideas to lead them into a saving knowledge of Christ and how wonderful life is with him living in your heart. Hi everyone! I'm Margie, living in Philippines. I am one of the fruits of Sunday School and VBS. And, by God's grace, is now using by God as one of his teachers in this ministry.
I'm 24 years old and working here in Parañaque, Philippines for almost 1 month. Every Saturday and Sunday I go back to my home in Cavite and give my time in the ministry. I am also part of youth ministry.
I love sharing my life to all the children I know. I'm so much blessed of what God had done and still doing in my life. I want to share the children how much God loves them too in order for them to realize how important it is to have a relationship with HIM. I want then to grow with faith and obedience to our Lord. I wanted to be used by God effectively.
I thank God for this site!!! This is a wonderful one! It give encouragement and motivation to ministers like me. May we all be friends here!

Hi all! My name is Wayne Stocks. I am in the Columbus, Ohio area. I volunteer in the Children's Ministry at my local non-denominational church. I teach the Kindergarten-1st Grade room on Sunday's and run the AWANA games program on Wednesday nights. I love working with kids and finding fresh ways to teach them eternal truths. I have a wonderful wife and four kids ages 2-16. I also enjoy blogging over at my blog called Dad in the Middle.

Hi, my name is Terri. I'm 39 and am currently attending a Baptist church in a small town in Southern California. I was raised Lutheran, but have for all intensive purposes, converted to Southern Baptist. My husband and I have 2 children, ages 6 and 7, and we are all actively involved in our church. They attend the Christian school there and AWANA. Hubby and I volunteer at the school when we can (we both work full time) and are the TREK leaders for the AWANA club. We also lead Children's church 1 to 2 times a month. And I volunteer to help with VBS. Last summer was my first year doing that and I'm looking forward to finding out where they place me next year.
I'm always looking for ways to make AWANA more interesting and fun for the Jr. High age kids. It's a rough age to keep them interested. :D

Aloha, my name is Janette. I am a Children's Minsitry Director in a Lutheran Church (missionary - change agent), I am a non-denominational Christian who has attended many different churches in the past. I have attend SBC for about 2 years, Gospel for 2 years, Full Gospel for 4 years, Vineyard for 2 years, and here I am.
I have an Awana ministry - started 4 years ago, by me through God's guidance and the SP, grown from 25 kids and 15 leaders in the first year to 140 kids and 60 leaders and LITs.
Vacation Bible school with 165 kids and 90 volunteers!
We used rotational Sunday school and for Kids church (2nd hour) Bible Study for All Ages.
We also do Family Movie Nights, I teach 3rd grade Bible class for parents and their 3rd graders, 1st Communion classes, and have children 0-12 yo.
Lots of changes in my 5 years. I was hired as a change agent and slowly we are coming into God's Kingdom full of His love and knowledge. Before I came, the Bible was not that important, God's Word was kinda lacking. Salvation was at baby baptism and that was it. God has had a different plan, so here I am. I continue to follow what His desire is.

Hi there. I am a Children's Pastor at a small church in Portland, Oregon. I work with a wide variety of people, including missional outreach among at-risk urban children and families. By day I drive truck and work in a warehouse. By night and on the weekends I try to help families in any way possible. I am a simple person with a heart for people. Greetings, as my username indicates, I am known as "Commander Bill" in the "Awana world" with a resource web site for those serving in Awana at http://www.commanderbill.net. I serve on the ministry teams of Awana missionaries, I have led workshops, trainings, etc. and I enjoy helping others reach children for Christ.
I was an Awana Commander (volunteer) for several years at a church in MD where I was responsible for 100+ children and 30-40 volunteers.
That church began a new church across the state line in PA. The people forming this new church wanted a strong children's ministry and the next day, I was contacted by the senior pastor of my church to see if I would help them get started. Well, I left my role in the church in MD and helped start this new church in PA with a handful of young children, as a volunteer. I have seen God bless this church in many ways and I am now the children/youth pastor with a small salary (still working a FT secular job), reaching about 40 children/youth currently.
I believe that networking is important to enhance each others ministries and as children's workers work together, we can have a greater impact for the kingdom.

My name is Linda and I volunteer in the Children's Ministry at Proctor Baptist church in the little of Proctor, Texas( pop. about 365). I am new to teaching ages 4 to 12 on Sunday's and Wednesday nights. I love this web site and it has helped me with new ideals for my kids. My husband drives the church bus and also helps me on Wednesday nights. Most of the parents of our kids do not attend our church on Wednesday night and we have found most are from broken homes. So we are trying our best to teach them about God---

Hi my name is Julie-anne, I'm a 33 old stay at home mum from Tasmania, Australia (hence the different spelling you may see). I have 3 children DD 6, DS 3 and DD 2. I do not consider myself to belong to one church, I have traveled lots and have found sometimes I did not have an option as to which church I attended. During this experience I learnt there is a big difference between religion and faith. Because of this I choose a church where I feel the Lord's presence, where the people walk in his path and do work for his glory and not their own.
I moved to Tasmania 2 years ago to a quaint little town that is perfect but for one thing, there are 4 churchs in town, and yet none of them have this feeling. First there is a church of England (which I am christened and confirmed), a baptist, a catholic and one that is non dominational. The first has a congregation where the youngest person is probably about 65, now while I have no problem being the youngest in the church (have done it before)they have no sunday school and well lets just say their if their services made me want to go to sleep I have no idea how I would keep my children from doing it. I refuse to go to a Catholic church as taking Holy Communion is very important to me. The Baptist does not have the 'feeling' in it that I am looking for, everyone leaves as soon as the service is over. The non-dominational makes me feel very uncomfortable, the pastor is very 'you will do this' and very forceful which is not the way I practice. So hence is my dilema and why I am here. I have decided to teach my own 'sunday school' to my children at home so I have come for some advice, lessons etc. Any help would be appreciated. I post more in the general section as to what I am need help with. Thanks.

Hello my name is Hannah, an Overseas Filipino Worker down here in Saudi Arabia, thus I use pen name to protect the Christian Community I've been attending to. I am working as an accountant here but as God commissioned us as Christians what we ought to do we still find ways and means to proclaim the gospel. Though we find hardships and no freedom for us to share the message of Christ's coming into the earth but by God's grace we still do and many lost were found. I am also ministering to children of Filipino workers who attended our fellowship here and I really needed materials for my lessons. I thank God for directing me into these site and was not even blocked.
