   I would have to say the one I found most interesting in terms of theology and theory was "Think Orange" by Reggie Joiner. The exposition of Deuteronomy 6 alone makes the book worth it, but there is whole lot more in there than that!

   Practically, the one that challenged me the most personally has been "The Fabulous Reinvention of Sunday School" by Aaron Reynolds. The first time I picked it up in the store, I glanced at the first chapter about memorizing your teaching, and I put the book back down immediately. It obviously wasn't for me. :) Anyhow, I later bought it and read it, and it's full of great stuff! And, yes, I do memorize my lessons now, and it has been worth it!

   I'll fudge and call "Killing Cockroaches" by Tony Morgan a kids ministry book. It's mainly about church leadership, but about every 10hth chapter is explicitly about children's ministry. And all the other insights fit.

   I have recently acquired a wonderful book written by a woman in Great Britain called "Read With Me." It has readings for every day giving an overview of the Bible. I like the way she put it together. It takes the teachings of the whole Bible from the beginning of the OT through to the end of the NT. It is ideal for teaching children around the age of 6 or 7, but can certainly include older children as well. There is a section on the Word, a section on teaching facts about God, and a section for the child to read by themselves and finally there are questions that are easily answered from the readings.

   It is an easy way for families to come together and grow closer and share in their daily walk with the Lord.
