The winner was selected using the Random.org number generator and was comment #10. I’ve notified the winner. Thanks to all who shared their thoughts on the VBS.
It looks like an exciting theme and I’m glad to hear it is affordable. However, I would definitely want to add an aspect of the gospel every day.
We are a new church and I think Galactic Blast would be a great way to go for our first VBS. I love all the ideals you share on your web site. God bless, Linda Leonard
The theme of Galactic Blast is so fitting to describe the amazing power of God. I believe that the components of this curriculum are so diverse and appropriate for our kids to learn, see, hear, and feel God’s word and power. It makes room for unlimited creativity. The children of World Vision International Christian Center (Greensboro, NC) would love to have Galactic Blast. Thank you for the review.
I really love the Cokesbury VBS curriculum and this one is going to be just as great!!
The Galactic Blast theme is very very cool. This will have many kids interested; especially boys.
The gift of teaching children is a wonderful thing from the Lord. I appreciate the love and passion the Lord is doing in the lives of the authors of our VBS curriculum. Its a great theme… Blessings to you all!!1
Thank you for your great review. We’ve been looking for VBS curriculum for the last couple of weeks. The music included with Galactic Blast hooked me. We have all ages and the space theme is incredibly up-to-date. Our VBS is open to the community and this VBS seems to be just the ticket to introduce the word of God and the gospel. We’ve also been looking for a green component. With our very tight budget, it would be a blessing to win the VBS for Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Oconomowoc, WI.
I was impressed at how creative the VBS kit is and excited at the possibly of using it this summer!
I teach a weekly Sunday school class of K-2nd grade kids, consisting mostly of boys–they are in love with Star Wars–so I thought some of these ideas might grab their attention. I am also looking for good music and the video has lots of movements that I think might work for me. I am going to try to incorporate some of these ideas into my classroom
Thanks so much for the insight. It seems the decision this year is not as obvious as in previous years. I am torn between this and Saddle Ridge Ranch which you stated in the review that their material had a very strong gospel message. I am wondering how and where we could add in, to strengthen that most important message with this program.
Thanks for the review! Love the Space theme–it seems new and refreshing and should appeal to boys and girls. Great energetic music too!
Thanks so much for this wonderful VBS. I think the children of our church would get a blast from this Galactic Blast VBS. The lessons are something I look for in a VBS theme, but the music I believe makes the VBS and your music CD was out of this world. I am looking forward to winning this VBS for my church, Fayetteville Baptist Church, Fayetteville, WV 25840.
Tony – thanks for your review! I had my 1st VBS planning meeting last week and we chose Galactic Blast as our them and put our dates on the calendar. I also can not wait to attend the preview workshops next week in Richmond!!
This is my 1st time to direct our church’s VBS, and I have been searching online to see the various themes that are being offered for 2010. This theme really caught my attention, seems exciting and fun! My son, who was watching with me on the computer, was excited about “rocket ships” and the music! I think students of all ages will get into this theme. I also love how organized it is. I have worked with the children’s music program at our church for several years, so I am sure I can find a few gospel pieces to focus on God’s salvation for us. I had also found a VBS titled “Cosmic City” which is very similar to this and does end the week with Jesus’ resurrection, so I have been trying to compare the two.
