LifeWay Kids Ministry Conference

The rumors are true…

I’ll be presenting two workshops at the 2010 LifeWay Kids Ministry Conference (Oct 11-13) in Birmingham, Alabama. The event sounds like a big deal, check out their website for the full rundown.

This contest is now closed and the winner has been notified via email. Thanks to all who participated and I hope to see many of you in Birmingham!

The people from LifeWay have offered one free registration to readers of our website. To enter, just leave a comment on this post saying why you would be excited to go to the conference. You can be serious or silly, just let me know why you want to attend. I will use Random.org to select the winner on Tuesday 10 August 2010 and email the winner.

Just For Fun

Here is a recent video blog I made about the conference. It’s mostly me talking about why I am looking forward to the event. Don’t miss the final 15 seconds for a little kids pastor mischief.

It is so important to surround yourself with a fellowship of believers that can lift you up when you’re in ministry. Children’s ministry is so rewarding for many reasons, but one of them is the people that are in it. I love to meet people who have dedicated their lives to teaching children about God and His love for them. Going to this conference would be a great way to learn from God’s servants and exchange ideas and information. I am new to my current church position and hope to go to this conference and become a more effective children’s minister!

I would love to attend just to hear the speakers, go to all the break outs. I have never been to national one and I think it would be very imformtive and just plain fun while learning how to minister to children. The more prepared the better you are and being prayed up the most improtant so will pray for everyone even if I don’t get to go. :}

I went to my first Lifeway Kids conference in 1998 and have only missed two since then. I would love to take my Ministry Assistant with me this year, but with budget cuts I can’t. For Denise Green to be able go to the conference would be such a blessing to our Children’s Ministry at Dahlonega Bptist Church (Georgia).

As a part time missionary to Mexico / full time college student, God has recently been directing me more and more to minister to the children of Mexico. What an exciting, fun way, to learn about childrens ministry than through this conference. I wanna win!

Would *LOVE* to attend this! No money in the church budget to send little ol’ volunteer me, so free would be the only way to go … On behalf of whoever wins, thank you to Lifeway for your generosity, and thank you for such an awesome blog!

I attend a small church with a big vision to reach kids for God. It would be such a blessing to get to attend this conference. I have always worked with kids and really enjoy learning the best ways to open their eyes to Jesus.

I am a children’s minister and have attended this conference in the past. However, now my husband and I are church planters in the western suburbs of Chicago, and there is no money for such training. I miss it so much!!! I would LOVE to go!!!!
