Have We Forgotten Haiti?

Haiti forgotten childrenOne year ago today, I remember hearing about the Haiti earthquake. The news reports came across my Television just after dinnertime.

I started feeling sick.

Even now, I can’t understand or explain the scale of the Haiti Earthquake disaster. Something like 300,000 people were crushed to death and many times that number were injured or homeless.

News reports this week are showing how little has improved since the tragedy. Recovery seems hopeless and the world has lost interest.

Sometimes I wonder if even the Christians have forgotten.

“If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?” (1 John 3:17 NIV)
