“That’s Impossible” Game and Object Lesson

by Tony Kummer | Games,Object Lessons | Print Print | Email

A few weeks back I was brainstorming a new game idea that ties together a spiritual lesson with some of the fun of March Madness. I came up with an object lesson I’m calling “The Impossible Game.” The aim is to show kids that none of us can perfectly keep Jesus’ commands. But the Gospel promises us the forgiveness of God and the practical help to live according to his teachings.

Feel free to modify the game to fit your ministry context. You could take it several different directions. Done correctly, this could  be a powerful object lesson about needing Jesus help to obey the Bible. Leave a comment below to share any suggestions for other readers. You can also watch this children’s ministry game idea directly on YouTube.

I don’t have a game to share I just wanted to thank you for all the work you do to put all this together. You are doing a wonderful job and I will be playing that game in Sunday School. What a fun way to learn about God. God Bless you and all the others that are part of this.

Absolutely awesome game. It really demonstrates that we can’t do the impossible on our own!
