For VBS 2012, Answers in Genesis has released an amusement park theme called IncrediWorld Amazement Park. The tag line reads, “A thrill ride through God’s creation.”
This is only the fifth year they’ve produced a Vacation Bible School curriculum. Their products will mainly appeal to churches that emphasize a young earth view of creation and consider creation science a helpful apologetic method. Here are some apologetics questions this curriculum will answer for kids.
- Are dinosaurs in the Bible?
- How long ago was the time when time began?
In past years, I’ve reviewed and tested Answer’s VBS. Their quality has compared well with the top publishers and I’m confident this year will do the same.
The initial theme graphics look appealing, although a little dated. Kids will enjoy learning about dinosaurs at VBS, along with the other creatures that will be featured.
We’ll be back with our full review this winter, in the meantime you can browse their official website or see what other publishers are planning for VBS 2012 themes.

This VBS looks so good! Every day is Bible based! Kids love dinosaurs. Many church kids go to public schools and the are indoctrinated with Evolution and that dinosaurs are a mystery. Day 4-5 are very relevant for today! I brought up dinosaurs once in my Sunday School class, they got so excited and asked me many questions. Every church should use this VBS!
I was disappointed to see the comment above and was waiting for our material very eagerly to see what we would think. I couldn’t have been more pleased! This year is definitely on the creation but if you take the time to look at the lessons the gospel is there in a very strong way. Our church chose the traditional music and we were glad to see it’s from Patch the Pirate! Our kids have already been listening to the songs and they are very easy to pick up. We’re really looking forward to this year’s VBS! Gold Rush was wonderful last year but I think Incrediworld is going to top that! Great Job once again on your VBS curriculum.
We did Gold Rush last year and had nothing but positive experiences. The music was amazing; the theme was great!
Looking at this year’s theme, I was very disappointed. The music is not as good and the theme didn’t appeal to me. The content seems to be all based around the AIG Creation Museum rather than the Gospel. :-(
I hope AIG has a better theme and focus next year.
They devote an entire day to the Gospel. I go out and witness often and it take two minutes to explain the Gospel after I explain what sin is to the.
The Gospel is based off of Genesis. The Book of Genesis is the foundation to the Gospel. One cannot properly understand the Gospel or explain it, unless the refer back to Genesis. Why did Jesus die? For sin. When did sin come into the world? Genesis 3:15
