These lessons are designed to help younger children learn about Jesus and personally come to know him. We believe believe that younger children have a high level of spirituality, and can learn deep truths about God.
Some features in these Bible lessons are designed to help you. The Exegetical Idea at the beginning of each lesson summarizes what the passage meant to those it was written to in biblical times. The Pedagogical Idea summarizes what this passage means to us here and now. After studying the verses, incorporate what you have personally experienced with God in the particular lesson you are teaching.
Each lesson consists of four steps. Step one, Kindle Curiosity, is a time to spark interest and catch the children’s attention to an aspect of God or an illustration of the lesson. Step two, God revealed, is a time to dive into Scripture to discover God. Step three, Personal Pursuit, brings out why this Scripture is important in our lives, and more specifically, in the lives of the children. Step four, Daily Knowing, helps the lesson go one step further, striving to send God’s word with the children as they leave the classroom. This first lesson may not go over so well, since preschoolers are so used to simple moral lessons. However, I believe that repetition of this style of teaching will allow the children to grow in their ability to comprehend and experience deep truth from the Bible.

  1. I want to say THANK YOU so much for your ” Ministry to Children” site.
I run a Baby Bible Class, Toddlers Bible Class and Pre-school Bible class. The material i get from your site has really helped me teach children who is God and Knowing God and my favourite highlight was when my Babies turned into Toddlers then Preschool and they learnt the lessons on Moses. they knew every detail of the story right from when baby Moses was in the basket right to the golden calf. they knew all the 10 commandments off by heart and love the song.
I am blessed to be able to use your material.
My prayer is that the children will have a fear and reverence for God and honor him all the days of their lives. they will know what is right and what is wrong and choose to do right. not because they have to but because they love and serve Jesus Christ faithfully. please pray for me.
tip: I always read the bible stories in the Bible and i make it my study before i teach the lesson to them. from your work. i think this gives a better foundation. because the Holy Spirit can lead and guide me. Its not by power nor by might but by my Holy Spirit says the Lord.
A question was asked at a Primary school “Who knows the 10 commandments?”
and Caitlin Seath now 7 years old stood up in front of her whole school and said the 10 commandments out loud.
The work we are doing is of utmost importance. Never underestimate teaching children about God.
The Lord Bless you and keep you
The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you
The Lord turn his face towards you and give you peace.
i am mainly interested in lessons from 6months to 5 years age.
    God Bless you all
