Here are two wonderful new children’s books that will reassure young children of God’s love and protection. They are written by new author Julie Cantrell and titled “God is with Me through the Day” and “God is with Me through the Night.”
Each page has one line of text and adorable pictures of baby animals. What’s not to love. Plus they emphasize the protection and comfort that God provides for his children. “I am safe” and “I am loved” are recurring themes in each book. Children age 4 – 7 will learn to trust God even when they feel afraid, or lonely, or scared. The books also refer to well-known Bible characters like David and Daniel. This reminds the reader how God has always watched over those he loves.
As part of this review, I sat down with my own children to give them a test. My 1st grade daughter was really excited about the puppies and other baby animals. She read the books aloud to me and again to her 3-year-old brother. He loved to roar along with the baby bear. The smiling ostrich and monkeys were a bonus. My wife also approved and some un-churched relatives will receive a copy for Christmas. Needless to say, these books are quickly becoming favorites in my family.
These books have great ministry potential. At church, I’m adding copies to our preschool resource shelf. They are also on my short list for Christmas morning giveaways for the church kids. From a family ministry perspective, these books are a great asset for bedtime devotions.
You can read more from Julie Cantrell on her blog or the Facebook group for these books.

I work with at-risk kids in urban low-incoming housing projects. I would use the books in my ministry to be a blessing to them.
I would use them with the kids in my Sunday School class.
I would love to win these books. I would read them at home with my little girl and share them with my primary sunday school class
As a grandmother I embrace the blessing of my grandchildren. As a Christian, I also realize the responsibility even I have in leading my grandchildren to the Lord. These books would be another tool for me to use and hopefully reading them together would make a special and lasting memory of time we shared together.
These books would be a nice start to our children’s library at our Church, and we would use them in our children’s sunday school.
I would place these two books in our church library so that parents and children could use them.
We have a new Awana club at our church and I would donate them to our resources.

I am the Youth Pastor at our church and I would use these books with the children I teach and work with daily!!! Thanks
I would first share them by reading them with my PreSchool friends at Roy Community Church in Roy, WA and then donate them to our very struggling small town library for all to enjoy.
These books would be great for our preschool classroom. I’m always looking for new books to replace the well worn much-loved older books.
I just love your ministry!!! It is like the Holy Spirit connects us. The 100 Psalms is our next lesson. We just finished the Lord’s Prayer and your newsletter was right on time when I needed it! Now you send a lesson the 100 Psalms. Than you and again God bless your ministry!
How do you sign up for the books giveaway???
You just did when you left your comment!
I would be able to spread the messages in the books in a variety of setting. I have a home child care for preschoolers, I tutor children in the evenings, and teach children’s Sunday School on the weekends. Besides this, I teach child care provider classes, who in turn, could benefit fro the stories, and pass them on to the children in their care, also.
I love your ministry. God always is with us, no matter what time day or night. Our little children go to him with open arms and he takes each one of us in, no matter what. God Bless you for your wonderful ministry and thank you for your offerings. We are blessed each day that we are here on earth. Each one of us should be so thankful we have each other. I raise my 7 yr. old emotionally ill granddaughter. She would love to read this wonderful book you’re offering. Thank you for giving us a chance to win it.
Sadly, there are two children at our church, ages 3 and 4, who recently lost their father. These books sound comforting and might be something I would stock in our church library for them and other children to read.
I would use these books for our Sunday School class and childrens church.
I would love to have these books. They will make a great addition to our collection of books. Tehy could be read in the preschool Sunday school room, used by our Single Parent ministry, or borrowed by parents and grandparents in our church or community.
I have had a calling on my heart to work with the preschool age children at church and have taken the first step to volunteer. I would love to have these books to help me in teaching the children.
I would read these books to my daughter. I am also the Children’s Ministry Coordinator and Lesson Writer/Reviewer, these books could be worked into a lesson or used as a discussion starter.
Thanks for this contest as well as all the info you provide!

We are trying to develop a stronger curriculum for our children’s church and these would be a great asset for the teachers.
Thanks!
I would like to use these books to begin to build a resource shelf for teachers and parents at my church. It is something currently lacking in an overall strong program.
My husband and I are missionaries in Bolivia, South America and we consider the spiritual upbringing of our two beautiful little daughters to be our greatest discipleship opportunity. We would love to share these books with our girls. My Sunday School class would enjoy them as well if I translated them into Spanish.
Both of these books are wonderful to read. If I were to win them, or one of them, I would share them with the children I read to each week at my church. I always tell “my kids”, “if you can read, you can go just about any place and with whom you want to travel with”. Just pick up a book and read it!”.
thank you for offering these wonderful books,
Molliej
I think that these books would be of great resources for the children because they would understand and see that God takes care of everyone and everything. Great to read to children when there is free time and to have small conversation with them.
I would love to read these books to my children & share them with the preschool class I teach at my church. Thank you!
I am a mother of two small children and coordinate the preschool kids on Sunday mornings in my church. My son has a tremendous amount of irrational fears and he would benefit greatly from these two books as would the preschool children at church.
My name is christopher cuellar and me and my wife are the children pastors at our church. our kids at church are having the same concerns and this would be great to read to our kids at church and to the other kids. what i like to do is story time, this would go hand in hand of what we do.
Thank You
Christopher cuellar
I’d read them in my preschool classroom. They’d make a great addition to our bookshelf.
Well hello! My name is Miss Abby. I’m a preschool 7th grade Sunday School Teacher. I’m very mature for my age and love to teach the little one’s about the Lord. Usually I start off reading the lesson and do snack and craft, etc. The preschoolers love me to read them stories. We have a little library but not much. It would be a blessing for some new books to adventure into. They would be very thankful and I would too if we get chosen. Thanks and God Bless!
Tony, as I mentioned earlier we are a 1-yr old church and finances aren’t as great as we could hope. Also, as Children’s Pastor, I am strapped for help, with only 2 other workers. The opportunity to have resources would ease my stress in gaining ideas. Thank you.
I would definitely use these books with my Preschool aged children. I am always looking for great ideas for them. It would be a blessing to our kids, room and myself.
I have 2-4 kids in kids church (3 of which are new to church and their parents do not attend). I would use them in church and let each child take them home for a week and share with their parents. We live in a very rural area and funds are pretty much non-existent. I usually buy supplies and materials out of our small salary and use free bible lessons from online. These books would be a great help to my ministry.
I would read them to my two beautiful little girls.
Comment #31 was the Random.org winner. Congratulations to Jessica Marie. I’ve emailed her and will get the books in the mail asap.
Thanks again to Julie Cantrell for the giveaway!
