Julie Cantrell "God is with Me" BooksHere are two wonderful new children’s books that will reassure young children of God’s love and protection. They are written by new author Julie Cantrell and titled “God is with Me through the Day” and “God is with Me through the Night.”

Each page has one line of text and adorable pictures of baby animals. What’s not to love. Plus they emphasize the protection and comfort that God provides for his children. “I am safe” and “I am loved” are recurring themes in each book. Children age 4 – 7 will learn to trust God even when they feel afraid, or lonely, or scared. The books also refer to well-known Bible characters like David and Daniel. This reminds the reader how God has always watched over those he loves.

Julie Cantrell "God is with Me" BooksAs part of this review, I sat down with my own children to give them a test. My 1st grade daughter was really excited about the puppies and other baby animals. She read the books aloud to me and again to her 3-year-old brother. He loved to roar along with the baby bear. The smiling ostrich and monkeys were a bonus. My wife also approved and some un-churched relatives will receive a copy for Christmas. Needless to say, these books are quickly becoming favorites in my family.

These books have great ministry potential. At church, I’m adding copies to our preschool resource shelf. They are also on my short list for Christmas morning giveaways for the church kids. From a family ministry perspective, these books are a great asset for bedtime devotions.

You can read more from Julie Cantrell on her blog or the Facebook group for these books.

As a grandmother I embrace the blessing of my grandchildren. As a Christian, I also realize the responsibility even I have in leading my grandchildren to the Lord. These books would be another tool for me to use and hopefully reading them together would make a special and lasting memory of time we shared together.

I would be able to spread the messages in the books in a variety of setting. I have a home child care for preschoolers, I tutor children in the evenings, and teach children’s Sunday School on the weekends. Besides this, I teach child care provider classes, who in turn, could benefit fro the stories, and pass them on to the children in their care, also.

I love your ministry. God always is with us, no matter what time day or night. Our little children go to him with open arms and he takes each one of us in, no matter what. God Bless you for your wonderful ministry and thank you for your offerings. We are blessed each day that we are here on earth. Each one of us should be so thankful we have each other. I raise my 7 yr. old emotionally ill granddaughter. She would love to read this wonderful book you’re offering. Thank you for giving us a chance to win it.

Sadly, there are two children at our church, ages 3 and 4, who recently lost their father. These books sound comforting and might be something I would stock in our church library for them and other children to read.

My husband and I are missionaries in Bolivia, South America and we consider the spiritual upbringing of our two beautiful little daughters to be our greatest discipleship opportunity. We would love to share these books with our girls. My Sunday School class would enjoy them as well if I translated them into Spanish.

Both of these books are wonderful to read. If I were to win them, or one of them, I would share them with the children I read to each week at my church. I always tell “my kids”, “if you can read, you can go just about any place and with whom you want to travel with”. Just pick up a book and read it!”.
thank you for offering these wonderful books,

I think that these books would be of great resources for the children because they would understand and see that God takes care of everyone and everything. Great to read to children when there is free time and to have small conversation with them.

Well hello! My name is Miss Abby. I’m a preschool 7th grade Sunday School Teacher. I’m very mature for my age and love to teach the little one’s about the Lord. Usually I start off reading the lesson and do snack and craft, etc. The preschoolers love me to read them stories. We have a little library but not much. It would be a blessing for some new books to adventure into. They would be very thankful and I would too if we get chosen. Thanks and God Bless!

Tony, as I mentioned earlier we are a 1-yr old church and finances aren’t as great as we could hope. Also, as Children’s Pastor, I am strapped for help, with only 2 other workers. The opportunity to have resources would ease my stress in gaining ideas. Thank you.

I have 2-4 kids in kids church (3 of which are new to church and their parents do not attend). I would use them in church and let each child take them home for a week and share with their parents. We live in a very rural area and funds are pretty much non-existent. I usually buy supplies and materials out of our small salary and use free bible lessons from online. These books would be a great help to my ministry.
