Is it generational, that the younger generation is growing up with less foundation? Or are we, the older generation"s attitudes towards "church", commitment, legalism influencing the younger generation's attitudes. Are we not relevant? How do we teach those who have NO Biblical background. When I look at my church, I see youth that are from families that are spiritually young, recent converts, so they have no Biblical foundation. If they don't come to SS, then they really will have no Biblical foundation--and I look at leaders who grew up in a legalistic environment not wanting to be legalistic..but in the process, having few standards, everything is okay, don't want to impose their view on others.
