Have you heard about the 2011 LifeWay Kids Ministry Conference. Readers below shared their BIG DREAM for children’s ministry.

The details of LifeWay’s Kids Ministry Conference are being planned now, and we want you to come and Dream Big with us! What a better place to Dream Big than Nashville, TN! Many move to Nashville each year to seek out big dreams in a music career. We want you to come along with big dreams for your Kid’s Ministry. We have fantastic leaders in Kids Ministry who are going to help us dream while providing us with practical tools to make these dreams reality in ministry. Speakers like Ed Stetzer, Jon Acuff, Tim Elmore, Angie Smith, and Pete Wilson will be here. We’ll be inspired by many others, including the Duggar family! We will also have the opportunity to worship together with musicians like Dove Award® nominee Dave Hunt.

my big dream is to establish a vacation club for kids (including orphans) where they can get exposed to work of God at a tender age, develop their individual talents and grow up to be responsible and God fearing future leaders.

The biggest dream I have for the children in our ministry is that they would Christ followers who impact the world around them from a very early age and that their lives would glorify God all the days of their lives. My deepest desire when teaching or interacting with the children is that their hearts be transformed, that they wouldn’t just be learning good things, learning how to be a good person, learning how to obey, learning head knowledge, etc. I want to impact their hearts. I think that is the biggest challenge in children’s curriculum and ministry–how do you teach the Bible and pass on the faith in such a way that transforms the heart of the child and reveals their deep need for Jesus instead of just teaching them good moral character and behavior? I guess along with this, I have a dream of either finding or creating curriculum that achieves this goal.

Hi. My church does not have a trained sunday school teacher. It is at such meetings/conference that an unskilled teacher would learn from what others do. My vision is to become a better teacher that would draw children closer to God. The conference would help me alot. May I be considered.
