prodigal son parable story

This short video features the story of the Prodigal Son told using slides from a Bible Story comic book. This could be used with a Bible lesson about the Prodigal Son.

The title in the video says “Prodigal God” which brings out the real meaning behind the story. Both brothers have hurt the father and need forgiveness, but the father in the story proves to be the most reckless. His crazy love continues toward the two sinful boys.

Before showing this video, explain to the kids that prodigal means “reckless” or “crazy” or “wild.” Then let the children discovery why this video calls God the reckless one. The parable of the prodigal son is really about the reckless father’s love. It teaches us an important lesson about God’s love for us and other sinners – God the Father loves both religious and irreligious people.

Finally! Something I can use that is not boring. I believe that teaching kids is sooo important. and if you aren’t exhausted at the end of the session, you probably didn’t do a very good job. Thank you , thank you, thank you!
