Standard Publishing has released its theme information for VBS 2012. The program is called Adventures on Promise Island. The tagline reads, “Where kids discover God’s lifesaving love.”
My first impression is very positive of this theme. I like the way each daily lesson brings out a distinct promise from God. The tropical island location is an underwhelming theme for Standard. Over the past few years, they’ve produced a series of creative themes that stand out among the other publishers. I’ll be interested to see how they make this one stand out.
The music for Promise Island was created by children’s worship artist Yancy. This is a smart move for Standard and will bring a fresh sound to their VBS music.

Have you been able to review Adventure’s on Promise Island?
They didn’t send us a review kit this year.
Would there be a way I could get a free sample packet of Promise Island? Also could we get the entire packet if we purchased it in King James Version?
