Route 254 VBS Theme from LifeWay

LifeWay has announced their VBS materials for 2010. In addition to their main Saddle Ridge Ranch theme, they offer a simple option designed for smaller churches. Route 254 is an updated version of the popular Ramblin’ Road Trip VBS theme. It features broadly graded Bible lessons that fit well in smaller Vacation Bible School settings, or in evangelistic Backyard Bible Clubs. Churches who use Club VBS for 2010 will go on a wild cross-country adventure from the nation’s capital to Southern California on Route 254.

The VBS scripture is Psalm 2:54, “Make Your ways known to me, LORD; teach me Your paths.” (HCSB) The VBS motto is , “Know! Follow! Choose God’s Way!”

Is there a instrumental soundtrack and or music available for the Route 254 Song, “We Believe?” After our kids did it in VBS this year, they now want to do the song for special music during worship.

I’m not sure. You might check with LifeWay. That song has been on previous VBS programs and is always well received. They have likely worked it into a kids choir program. Or you could use their split track version.

Here are some answers Paula and Elaine – There are 4 songs that can be used in Worship Rally – there’s no music rotation where you teach the kids a song for each day (there is in our Saddle Ridge Ranch curriculum). Also, there are motions for each Route 254 song. There are craft and recreation options for Route 254 as well. Route 254 includes a worship rally, bible study, recreation, snack, and craft rotation.

Are there craft ideas and recreation activities with Route 254. Sorry, but I can’t determine by looking at the website

Yes. Their VBS has all the normal activities included – except the ideas are kept simple being focused on smaller churches.

I’m not sure who to ask…. I noticed that there are only 4 songs for the Route 254 Bible School. I thought that you usually have 5 songs to go with the lessons each day. Will there be one more added later? Also, are their motions with the Route 254 songs?

Thanks!
Paula

The Sampler kit has a DVD in it and it has the Motions on DVD. It is the second DVD.
