One of the big winners I’ve seen is having a “Back To Sunday School Party” on the first week of the new Sunday school year.
This is in class and gives kids a chance to invite their friends to Sunday school, plus it gives teachers an excuse to call all the parents on their roster.
Prayer for more families!! We often have new families arrive in the fall and love seeing new faces in SS. I try to send a postcard to each new student in my SS class the week they attended–just a quick “Welcome” to our class, hope to see them again, etc. I have heard many parents find it neat that we would follow up with their child. (Found some nice cards at the teacher store and I do have a postcard I keep to remind what to say as I write new ones, usually adding a few personal touches as God leads. )
LOVE the website!! Also using Children Desiring God curriculum–thank the Lord for such awesome, God centered curriculum
