One day my wife and I dream of adopting a child. We’ve been serving foster kids for over 10 years and expect God to open all the right doors in his time.
Just last month, we had three non-English speaking children in our home. Their parents were in jail and they were very afraid. They were with us for two weeks, but it was a blessing. We shared in their suffering and loved them even when they didn’t understand. It was very sad to see them leave, but we believe that God will watch over them even when we can’t.
One day, we hope to adopt children like this. So, I am very PRO adoption and want to point out a few links on the subject.
- The story of Matt will make you cry, but you should read it anyway. You can learn more and pray for his family on their website.
- Registration for the Together For Adoption conference is now open. It will be in Nashville October 2009.

I am a parent of an adopted child… We are also Foster parents… God has opened many doors in our life – we were asked not long ago to take a sibling of our child… while I felt God telling me to do it – my husband did not feel the same calling.
God opens doors for us everyday and I personally walk (even find myself running by at times) right by those doors.
Stay in tune with HIM and you will be pleasantly surprised… Our daughter is one of the most precious things in our lives and we give HIM all of the glory for her life and that HE chose us to be her family!
May God Bless you!
