Vacation Bible School 2008 Theme Information

Are your researching vacation bible school themes? Then I hope to make your job easier. Over the past year I’ve been collecting information about Bible school programs and their 2008 VBS themes. All this information I list here free for your use.

Group Publishing’s Power Lab VBS

This theme offers a scientific theme with plenty of room to be creative. I consider group the leading VBS publisher (I don’t know sales figures), and I’ve always heard great feedback from people who buy their Bible school kits. LifeWay’s Outrigger Island VBS

This Bible school theme is set on a tropical island, perhaps Hawaii. LifeWay is a trusted publisher with many years of solid performance in VBS curriculum. You can read my review of Outrigger Island VBS or visit their official website.

LifeWay’s Club VBS Cactus Canyon

This is a VBS curriculum set in the wild west. This is the offering from LifeWay targeted for smaller churches. It offers broadly graded classes and a simplified program. I didn’t review it but you can visit the LifeWay website for more information.

Answers In Genesis 2008 VBS Theme: Amazon Expedition

This theme for 2008 Bible school is based on young earth creationism. It offers an Amazon jungle setting and offers an overview of Bible history. You can read my review of the Amazon Expedition VBS Curriculum or visit their website.

Group Publishing’s Holy Land Themes

You can use an undated VBS program that offers an immersion learning experience. They offer two theme More information about Galilee By-the-Sea VBS and Jerusalem Marketplace VBS can be found on the Group Publishing website.

Standard Publishing: God’s Big Backyard VBS

I’ve heard a lot of buzz about this Bible school theme. Standard has built the whole program around service. This new angle is a fresh contrast to the entertainment centered VBS themes. I did not write a review, but you can find more information on the Standard Publishing website.

Concordia VBS 2008 “Friendship Trek”

This theme is centered on friendship and features several animated characters. I wasn’t able to review this 2008 VBS curriculum, but you can visit the Concordia House Publishing website.

Regular Baptist Press 2008: Dino Detectives VBS

This curriculum offers kids a dinosaur themed vacation Bible school that also teaches the basics of a Christian worldview. Visit the RBP website for more details.

Gospel Light VBS 2008 Themes

Son World Adventure 2008 Park VBS is a theme inspired by the way children love amusement parks. The tagline reads, “Get ready for a thrilling ride with Jesus.” I want to see where Gospel Light goes with this idea in their 2008 VBS curriculum. Visit the Gospel Light website for more information.

SonHarvest Country 2008 Fair VBS from Gospel Light. This VBS 2008 program is a curriculum designed to teach children about the fruit of the Spirit. The tagline reads, “where kids grow the fruit of the spirit.” Visit the Gospel Light website for more information.

Cokesbury VBS 2008 Theme Beach Party

This Bible school curriculum is set in a beach theme. You can find more information on the Cokesbury’s website.
