Before we move on to Christmas, I want to spend a few minutes reflecting on the good things God has done in my life this year. Here are a few reasons why I am thankful – please share your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. This year we added the 5th child to our family and our first by adoption.
  2. I am blessed to have a secure job and no money worries.
  3. Our children attend a wonderful Christian school.
  4. My church loves me despite all my shortcomings.
  5. Jesus keeps holding on to me, even when I fall short.

I guess I could write many more, but I want to leave room for your reasons. Please leave a comment below.

I am so thankful for the my dad. He was such a great example and it is because of him that I am serving God. God took him home this year and I miss him dearly but I thank God for him every day and I know I will see him again. I am also thankful that I still have my mom and that she too has been such an example.

I am thankful for the fruits of the spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness and self-control. If it weren’t for the Lord’s supplying my every need, (especially for forgiveness of my sins, healing both physically, mentally, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually), I dread to think where I might be. Praise the Lord for His love, grace, mercy, and peace that passeth all understanding. All glory and honor belong to Him alone. May His name be exalted forever. Amen.

I am a pastor a very small country church. We have started a Sunday School however we didn’t have any children in our church only people over 60 years old. For whatever reason, Jesus has sent us between 8 to 10 young children between the ages of 4 to 11 years old and I didn’t have anyone in my church willing to teach them only someone who will help and two teens willing to help. So I said ok Lord here we go a one room class and me, a helper, and two teens. We started the second Sunday in Sept, 2010 with 4 children and last week we had 11 children. We are having so much fun and the children are drinking in the “Word of God.” In fact they hate to go home. My helper is telling me she can now take over more of teaching the class and the two teens are learning as much as the little children. God is good. We are hoping to get the children’s parents interested in coming out to our church and Sunday School for Adults.

I’m thankful for having Jesus as the only master in my life. I’m thankful for my family, my husband, my kids and a beautiful baby boy.
I’m thankful God supply all our needs even in this difficult economy and our church is growing bigger in the Lord.

4. I am thankful that our local church is starting to head in the right direction and be more determined to see God’s children grow up to maturity rather stay little children even at the ages of 30-80 years of age.

I am thankful my dad got to come home from the hospital today. He was admitted on Sunday with pnemonia, but is doing much better. He had to come home with oxygen, and is still weak but we are all glad he is okay.

Today my two tyres got stolen. My car is only a little more than a year old and it was heartbreaking to see it (MyVi SE) sitting in a slant position. But truly I am thankful that the theives did not break into my car. I am thankful my friends stayed with me for hours to sort out the problem. I am thankful my brother told me he would settle the bill for me. What else can I say other than ‘Thank you, Lord. You are always there for me’.

I’m thankful for Jesus and the life that He has given me in Him.

I’m thankful for my amazing husband and beautiful children, our families, friends, and church.

I’m thankful for provision, health, freedom, and simplicity.

I’m thankful for the pioneers of our faith and the heroes (and heroines) of today, who set an example of love, trust, and godliness, despite great odds.

I’m thankful for God’s word and His Spirit; without either I would be a true disaster:)

I”m thanksful for all of the love and support given to me by my family and friends as I battle breast cancer. I’m especially thankful for all my pre-k kids I’ve met this year, they are a powerful motivation to get through each week to see them again.

I am thankful for a lot. First of all for good health. I made it through a cancerous ovarian tumor, only by the grace of God because it had not spread to any other areas. I am so thankful and grateful to God. God is still a miracle-working God.
I am thankful I have a job, in the times of this recession. I got a job 6months before I graduated, and I started working in June of this year. I am exceptionally thankful for that.
I am thankful, that even though I have medical bills I am still paying, I am almost done paying them, and its ONLY by the grace of God and God’s provision.
Even though I don’t have everything in life I want, but I am very thankful for the little I have. And even though I don’t know the future, I know God holds the future, and the best is yet to come. I bleieve in Jeremiah 29:11. On the whole I am thankful for life good health, family, friends, provision and much more. I could go on and on. Thank you Lord!
