Tony Kummer, editor of Ministry-To-Children
Before we move on to Christmas, I want to spend a few minutes reflecting on the good things God has done in my life this year. Here are a few reasons why I am thankful – please share your thoughts in the comments below.
- This year we added the 5th child to our family and our first by adoption.
- I am blessed to have a secure job and no money worries.
- Our children attend a wonderful Christian school.
- My church loves me despite all my shortcomings.
- Jesus keeps holding on to me, even when I fall short.
I guess I could write many more, but I want to leave room for your reasons. Please leave a comment below.

I am so thankful for the my dad. He was such a great example and it is because of him that I am serving God. God took him home this year and I miss him dearly but I thank God for him every day and I know I will see him again. I am also thankful that I still have my mom and that she too has been such an example.
i am thankful that God lead me to my christian husband- we were married in May 2011. He also after 12 years brought my spiritual son home. I am so blessed of the freedom he gave my friend and her family, the cancer that is gone in my Pastor’s wife, all the love from family and friends and thanking him for all he is done and that he has great plans for us all amen!!!!!!!!!!!
I am thankful for the fruits of the spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness and self-control. If it weren’t for the Lord’s supplying my every need, (especially for forgiveness of my sins, healing both physically, mentally, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually), I dread to think where I might be. Praise the Lord for His love, grace, mercy, and peace that passeth all understanding. All glory and honor belong to Him alone. May His name be exalted forever. Amen.
I am a pastor a very small country church. We have started a Sunday School however we didn’t have any children in our church only people over 60 years old. For whatever reason, Jesus has sent us between 8 to 10 young children between the ages of 4 to 11 years old and I didn’t have anyone in my church willing to teach them only someone who will help and two teens willing to help. So I said ok Lord here we go a one room class and me, a helper, and two teens. We started the second Sunday in Sept, 2010 with 4 children and last week we had 11 children. We are having so much fun and the children are drinking in the “Word of God.” In fact they hate to go home. My helper is telling me she can now take over more of teaching the class and the two teens are learning as much as the little children. God is good. We are hoping to get the children’s parents interested in coming out to our church and Sunday School for Adults.
I’m thankful for having Jesus as the only master in my life. I’m thankful for my family, my husband, my kids and a beautiful baby boy.
I’m thankful God supply all our needs even in this difficult economy and our church is growing bigger in the Lord.
1. I am thankful for my security in Christ.
2. I am thankful for my family who loves me and encourages me to be patient and remember that God is always working in my life to will and to do for His good pleasure.
3. I am thankful that He has blessed my family with a heart to love our neihbor as ourselves and to use His resources for them and not for us only.
4. I am thankful that our local church is starting to head in the right direction and be more determined to see God’s children grow up to maturity rather stay little children even at the ages of 30-80 years of age.
5. I am thankful for all of the people God uses to bring about good change in my life.
Thankful tonight for God’s good word, the lamp to our feet and the light to our path!
I am thankful my dad got to come home from the hospital today. He was admitted on Sunday with pnemonia, but is doing much better. He had to come home with oxygen, and is still weak but we are all glad he is okay.
