The story of Creation is a familiar story that many churches do over and over. This is good, except, we may run out of things to do with the story.
Singing is always a great activity for children. It gets them directly involved, moving, and thinking about what they are singing. This is what the “7 Days of Creation” song is for. I was thinking of Christmas and the song, “The 12 Days of Christmas”, popped in my mind. Then I thought, what about the days of Creation? There’s only 7 days in Creation, but the tune still works, it just ends earlier.
I hope you and your kids enjoy this little song to help with learning the days of Creation. This would be an ideal preschool Bible song, but would be fun for any age of children.
The 7 Days of Creation

On the 1st day of creation our awesome God created
light and dark He called day and night
On the 2nd day of creation our awesome God created
an expanse between the waters
On the 3rd day of creation our awesome God created
dry land and plants
On the 4th day of creation our awesome God created
sun, moon, and stars
On the 5th day of creation our awesome God created
fish and birds
On the 6th day of creation our awesome God created
land animals & people
On the 7th day of creation our awesome God created
nothing because He rested
