“The Harvest is Ready” Craft Ideas about Evangelism & Sharing the Gospel

Print Friendly and PDF

Use these crafts when teaching kids about the sharing the Gospel with others (aka evangelism). They work with any lesson plan about telling others about God’s love. We wrote them to accompany a Matthew 9:37-38 Sunday School lesson. Download the craft directions, watch our how-to instructions video, and then gather your craft supplies.

What is a harvest, and what does it have to do with us as Christians? This can be a tricky concept for young kids, but the main message to emphasize is how we are called to share the good news of Jesus with all people. Fruit (or other plants) must be picked or “harvested” to be enjoyed and used. In the same way, if people never receive love or hear the Gospel, they won’t be able to enjoy the blessings of life in Christ. These crafts offer a little reminder of how we can GROW in Jesus, and how we can plant or harvest the seeds of the good news.

Bible Verses or Craft Captions to Consider…

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” -Matthew 9:37-38
