The first line of the Lord’s prayer reminds us that God’s name is precious and holy (“hallowed”). All names are special and important, and we want to treat God’s name with respect and reverence. These crafts remind kids that the Lord’s name is sacred and should be used properly, just as we want our names to be used correctly. A “Burning Bush Cup” recalls the first time Moses heard God’s name. A “Name Frame” decorates and celebrates student names. Let’s get crafty!

Verses or Captions to Consider…

God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” -Exodus 3:14

Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name. -Matthew 6:9

Names are special! God gives us His name and calls us by ours!

Yahweh means I am! God gave His name to Moses!
