Use these free Christian Thanksgiving activity pages in Sunday school or children’s church in November, in a busy book for the Thanksgiving service, or at home during Thanksgiving week. They are Bible story pages about a thankful, giving heart, not turkeys and pumpkins. Kids ages 6 to 12 get coloring pages and four puzzles at two levels. Preschoolers ages 3 to 5 get coloring pages and activity sheets that need no reading. Answer keys are included, and there is nothing to sign up for.
Ages 3 to 12 · 31 pages, US letter size · free for church, school and home use
Only have one Sunday? Print pages 6, 7 and 8 for ages 6 to 12, pages 22 and 23 for ages 3 to 5, and the answer key on page 18. That is the widow’s two small coins, a good fit for the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

What’s in the free Thanksgiving activity pages PDF
- Thanksgiving puzzles for kids: color by code, crossword, maze and find the differences, each at Level 1 and Challenge
- Thanksgiving Bible coloring pages for four Bible stories about giving
- Answer keys for all four puzzles, both levels, with the answers in red
- Preschool Thanksgiving activity sheets: four coloring pages and four activity sheets
- What to print: ready-made lists for four Sundays, a Thanksgiving busy book (with a cover page) and a family Thanksgiving week
The pages come from Great Give Back, a 4-week Sunday school series on generosity from The Sunday School Store. Each week is one Bible story about giving. The big idea fits Thanksgiving: God has given us so much, and the best gift of all is Jesus. Lily, on the Sunday School Store team, colored the pages with markers before they were shared. Those are her hands in the photos.
Thanksgiving puzzles for kids (ages 6 to 12)

Each Bible story has one puzzle at two levels. Level 1 uses shapes, pictures and a picture word bank, so early readers can do it. Challenge is for older kids who can read the clues. Kids at the same table can work the same puzzle at their own level.
- Color by code, the widow’s two small coins (Mark 12:41-44). Level 1 colors the stars and hearts to find the offering chest. The Challenge answers spell a hidden word: HEART.
- Crossword, churches overflowing with joy (2 Corinthians 8:1-9). Level 1 has picture clues and a word bank. The Challenge crossword has written clues and no word bank.
- Maze, a room for Elisha (2 Kings 4:8-17). Help Elisha find the house in Shunem where his little room is ready.
- Find the differences, the first church family shares (Acts 4:32-37). Find 5 differences at Level 1 and 8 in the Challenge.
Every puzzle page ends with a short “Keep Talking” question for a parent or teacher to ask, like “What has God given you that you could share?”
Thanksgiving Bible coloring pages for kids

Each coloring page states the big idea in its title and prints the Bible reference under it: the widow giving two coins (“God sees the heart behind every gift”), Paul writing his letter (“Generosity isn’t about having more”), the little room built for Elisha (“Hospitality is generosity in action”) and Barnabas sharing with the church (“Giving brings lasting joy”).
Preschool Thanksgiving activity sheets (ages 3 to 5)

The preschool pages tell the same four stories simply. Each week has a coloring page and a full-color activity sheet that needs no reading. Each activity sheet ends with an “Ask me” question, so a parent can talk about the story on the way home.
- I Can Give to God! Count the coins and circle the number.
- I Can Give with Joy! Match the gifts that are the same.
- I Can Make Room for Others! Find the bed, table, chair and lamp in Elisha’s room.
- I Can Share with Others! Put three story pictures in order: Barnabas sells his land, lays the money at the apostles’ feet, and the money helps people in need. Tell the story first.
What to print for Sunday school, a busy book or Thanksgiving week at home
Page 4 of the PDF has three lists with the page numbers filled in.
- Four Sundays in November. One Bible story a week: three Kids pages and two preschool pages each Sunday.
- A Thanksgiving busy book. A black-and-white cover with a place for a name (page 5), then quiet pages that need no reading: pages 6, 7, 9, 13, 15 and 16 for ages 6 to 12, or pages 22 to 25 and 27 for ages 3 to 5. No scissors or glue. Print double-sided to halve the paper.
- A family Thanksgiving week. One story a day from Monday to Thanksgiving Day, with both puzzle levels and both preschool pages each day. Read the passage from your Bible, then do the pages together.
Printing tip: print on plain letter paper. The preschool activity sheets are in color but copy fine in black and white. To save ink at home, skip the cover and the last two pages.
Questions about printing and using these Thanksgiving activity pages
Can I print these for my whole class or children’s church?
Yes. Print as many copies as your church, classroom, homeschool or family needs. Please don’t sell the pages or post the file on another site. Link to this page instead.
Do I need to teach the lesson first?
No. Every Kids page and every preschool coloring page shows its Bible reference, so you can read the story straight from your Bible. The coloring pages and Level 1 puzzles work even for a child who doesn’t know the story. The Challenge puzzles and the preschool story-order sheet are easier after you tell the story.
What does giving have to do with Thanksgiving?
A thankful heart is a giving heart. These four stories show people who gave because God had given them much: a poor widow, churches with little money, a family with a spare room, and Barnabas. None of the pages asks a child to bring money.
Where can I find more free Thanksgiving pages?
Ministry-to-Children also has free Thanksgiving coloring pages, Thanksgiving Bible word searches and Thanksgiving Sunday school ideas.

It comes in Kids (ages 6 to 12) and Preschool (ages 3 to 5) editions, and the Week 1 lesson is free to try on the series page.
