Why we recommend “sermons4kids”

Sermons 4 Kids is a ministry free resource website. The post new children’s messages each week based on the Revised Common Lectionary. They have material available in English and Spanish. Each lesson has a number of free games, crafts, skits and other creative activities to help teachers to engage the children.

This is a website we try to reference in all our new lesson plans because they consistently share great ideas.

Every children’s message has activities and resources. These include: Coloring Page, Dot to Dot, Word Search, Group Activities, Crossword, Multiple Choice, Jumble, Worship Bulletin: (DOC) (PDF), Fill in the Blank

It’s always print friendly too!

Every week our sister website Sunday School Works, posts new Children’s Sermons with video and easy print PDF directions. If you are looking for a modern alternative, check out the Family 5 “Children’s Sermons” from Go Curriculum. They are a great way to welcome kids back into the life of the church when you re-start worship services.

Who created it:

Charles Kirkpatrick is the founder of Sermons4Kids and is the author of many of the sermons that appear on the sermons4kids.com website. He served as a bi-vocational music minister for more than thirty years and also taught music in public schools. He retired from teaching in 2004 and for the past fifteen years has devoted full time to the Sermons4Kids ministry
