Why a Valentine’s Day series?
Most churches give Valentine’s Day one Sunday — a love-themed lesson, a craft, some candy. But February gives you four or five Sundays, and “God loved us first” is a big enough truth to fill every one of them. Be Mine turns the month into a valentine post office: each week, kids open a Bible story where God’s love gets delivered to someone unexpected — and learn to pass that love along.
What’s in the four weeks
- Week 1 — Kindness can change everything. Naaman and the Servant Girl (2 Kings 5:1–14). Love chooses compassion, even toward difficult people.
- Week 2 — Love makes room for everyone. A Seat at the Table (Luke 14:12–14). God’s love welcomes the overlooked.
- Week 3 — Real love puts others first. Love Looks Like Jesus (Philippians 2:1–11). Humility is love in action.
- Week 4 — God’s love never quits. Love Never Quits (Hosea 1–3). God’s faithful love never gives up.
The memory verse for the series is 1 John 4:19: “We love because He first loved us.” (BSB)
Built for real volunteers
Every week is fully scripted — read the script, follow the stage directions, and you’re ready to teach in minutes, not hours. Each lesson includes an opening game, an object lesson, the Bible story, discussion questions with leader notes, a craft, a coloring page, a word search, and a Parent Take-Home page. Supply lists use simple household and classroom items.
The series ships in two editions: Kids (ages 6–12) and Preschool (ages 3–5) — same Bible stories and takeaways, each adapted for the age group. And while it’s built for February, there’s nothing February-only about the Bible teaching — churches use it for children’s church and Sunday school any month of the year.
