Thanksgiving might be the easiest season of the year to get kids talking about what God has done — and now there’s a complete series for the whole month. It’s called Bible Bake Off, it’s five weeks long, and you can download the free sample lesson today.
Why a Thanksgiving series?
Most churches give Thanksgiving one Sunday — a thankfulness lesson, a craft, maybe a turkey handprint. But November gives you four or five Sundays, and gratitude is a big enough truth to fill every one of them. Bible Bake Off turns the month into a friendly bake off: each week kids step into a Bible story where God provides through food — a last meal that never runs out, a ruined stew made safe, a peace-making feast — and discover that everything on the table starts with Him.
What’s in the five weeks
- Week 1 — Pantry Challenge: The Widow’s Last Meal. The Widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17:8–16). Your small is never too small for God.
- Week 2 — Disaster Round: Poison Stew Fix. Elisha Purifies the Stew (2 Kings 4:38–41). Nothing is too ruined for God to redeem.
- Week 3 — Secret Ingredient: Abigail’s Food Diplomacy. Abigail Brings Food to David (1 Samuel 25). God uses wise words and kindness to turn conflict into peace.
- Week 4 — Surprise Guest Round: Sarah Bakes for Three Strangers. Abraham and Sarah Welcome Three Visitors (Genesis 18:1–8). When you make room for others, you make room for God.
- Week 5 — Final Feast: The Great Banquet. The Parable of the Great Banquet (Luke 14:15–24). There’s a seat at God’s table with your name on it.
The memory verse for the series is 1 Peter 4:10: “As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another.” (BSB)
Built for real volunteers
Every week is fully scripted — read the script, follow the stage directions, and you’re ready to teach in minutes, not hours. Each Kids lesson (15–18 pages) includes an opening game, an object lesson, the scripted Bible story, discussion questions with prayer time, a weekly craft (Recipe Card crafts plus a Warm Welcome Basket), color teaching visuals, a Bible story coloring page, and a word search with answer key. Supply lists with “Before Class” prep notes cover every activity, using simple household and classroom items.
The series ships in two editions: Kids (ages 6–12) and Preschool (ages 3–5) — the preschool track uses play-based lessons with a printable activity sheet every week and crafts with example photos. Both tracks come as easy-print PDFs plus easy-edit Word documents, and both include memory verse posters in BSB and KJV with an editable poster template.
