The inspiration for this series came from two sources. First, we wanted to make a companion coloring book to supplement the excellent “Who Will Be King?” gospel booklet for children.
Secondly, we wanted to incorporate the doctrine of Christ’s Kingship as often taught to children in older protestant catechisms. As the project took shape, we moved more toward the second goal. The end result is a theologically rich teaching tool that will help many children to better understand what it means for Jesus to be our King.
