TEACHER: Today, we’re talking about something amazing Jesus told people in His hometown. Jesus had just started teaching and performing miracles. One day, He went to His home synagogue and read from the Bible about God’s promise to send someone to save everyone. Jesus told them, “That promise is happening right now. I am the Savior!”
At first, people were excited. But then, Jesus reminded them of stories about God helping people who weren’t part of their group. Jesus wanted them to understand that God’s love is for everyone. That made them upset because they thought they were special. They didn’t like hearing that others were included too!

The crowd got angry because they didn’t like what Jesus was saying. They chased Him out of town, but Jesus walked away safely. Even though the people rejected Him, Jesus didn’t stop sharing God’s love.
