It is a fairly well-known fact that the owner of Chick-Fil-A operates under Christian principles. What many do not know is that many individual stores offer help with Vacation Bible School in the local church. No, they do not cater for the entire week free of charge! However, what some of the stores do is offer coupons for a free children’s meal to your workers and children in attendance. Simply call your local Chick-Fil-A and ask the manager if they participate in this ministry. Remember, not every store does this.

I also know that Chi-Fil-A also has VBS participation certificates at no cost as well. So if you want to save some money on your VBS budget, contact them for free certificates for your students!
Chick-fil-A has been providing our VBS with lunch and completion certificates for several years. There have been so many churches in our area to take advantage of this generosity that CFA has a process through which each church needs to follow. Call your local CFA to verify that they actually participate. In our area (Florence, SC) they send out letters (after your initial phone call) to each requesting church at the beginning of May. There is a registration deadline at the end of May to call in your order. The certificates are picked up during 10am-11am only on a Sat. in early June. When we pick them up at the designated location, we have to present a letter on church letterhead stating when and where our VBS is taking place and how many children we are expecting. This letter needs to be signed by the pastor or children’s director. Yes, it is a process, but they have to keep it under control somehow. And, it is well worth it. We certainly appreciate their generosity.
@Cindy-Thank you for the input. I knew it was done at the individual store level, but was not sure of the cost. I was merely letting our readers know that the possibility existed. Thanks again for the reminder to be sensitive and thankful that some of the owners are doing this as a blessing.
Being from the land of CFA, I would ask that you be sensitive to your CFA managers when asking them for these coupons. My understanding is that the individual store owner is paying for those meals out of his budget and not the corporate. CFA is a great company and we have been able to receive coupons from our local CFA store over the years but sometimes the demand is great upon the local store owner as it is in our area where many large churches are located.
This is definitely true! We did this last year at our VBS in Bellflower, CA, and will definitely do it again this year. It’s great to use for the kids and parents. The workers loved using it too… after our morning session we all went there one day. :) Do it! It’s great and free! And you can promote a Christian company as well.
