It’s time to check out next summer’s themes for VBS 2020. This post takes a closer look at the new offering from LifeWay VBS (official website). This year they feature a construction theme called “Concrete & Cranes -- building on the love of Jesus.” Be sure to leave a comment below or take our survey about the new VBS 2020 curriculum.
Our First Impression: The construction theme is somewhat original for Vacation Bible School publishers. It’s a fun way to tie biblical concepts to contemporary imagery. LifeWay is without question a leader among VBS publishers. Their materials are tested, refined, and backed by an incredible staff. Very few publishers offer regional training events and theme support like LifeWay VBS. My one reservation -- how will this connect with the children. How many children are fascinated with the topics of skyscrapers, engineering, and road construction? I’m waiting for someone to prove me wrong. Please leave a comment below to share your thoughts!
We will share updates when we post our full review (expected January 2020).

Why Choose LifeWay VBS?
Reaching Out -- With LifeWay’s VBS, you can rest assured that all aspects of your VBS will include age-appropriate outreach. Your church will have the opportunity to cultivate and establish ongoing relationships with all who attend. On average, 10% of kids who attend VBS are not associated with a church family. For the average VBS, 10% equals 10 people. Would discovering 10 people and starting a relationship with them be a big deal for your church?

Having Fun -- VBS is exciting! LifeWay’s VBS is flexible to meet your church’s needs. Backyard Kids Club can help you take your event out of the church and into the community or onto the mission field.
Revealing Jesus through every aspect of VBS. LifeWay’s gospel-centered and expert-vetted VBS prepares your leaders with trustworthy Bible-teaching. Your kids will have a blast while every activity, Bible lesson, and song points them to Jesus.
