God’s Word is sweeter than honey! The Bible guards and guides our lives, and when we let it fill us, it’s much more satisfying than the tastiest of sugar—and doesn’t give cavities! These crafts celebrate the verses of Psalm 119, reminding us that we should meditate on God’s law and love as a sweet source of strength. A “honey pot bookmark” can be used for Bibles to recall the sweetness of Scripture. A “honey nut bracelet” offers a fun fine motor activity that can be used as a snack and jewelry! And a “Sweet Things Collage” uses varied sweet things to remember that God’s Word is the most wonderful of all things to consume!

Craft one: “Honey Pot Bookmark”
You will need:
- Crayons or markers
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
- Paper (Construction/cardstock)
- Additional decorations (stickers, glitter, etc.)
Procedure:
- Cut construction paper or cardstock into a “honey pot” shape.
- Partially glue a lid shape onto the pot, to allow a flap for a bookmark.
- Add captions and verses to remember that God’s word is like honey.
- Place additional decorations as desired.
- Use the bookmark as a placeholder in God’s Word, the Bible!
Craft Two: “Sweet Things Collage”
You will need:
Procedure:
1. Cut out pictures of sweet treats from magazines and catalogs.
2. Glue pictures onto paper or cardstock in a collage pattern.
3. Decorate with additional candy wrappers, stickers, and notes as desired.
4. Add captions and verses.
5. Add pipe cleaner or magnet to hang, if desired.
Craft Three: “Honey Nut Jewelry”
You will need:
- Construction Paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- Pipe cleaner or string
- Cheerios
- Markers or crayons
Procedure:
1. Use cardstock to create a label or verse to attach.
2. String cheerios onto pipe cleaner or string, adjusting length to necklace or bracelet style.
3. Add label to jewelry, and enjoy as a snack or decoration!
