The family has such an important role in training kids in the way they should go. Children need positive training and modeling of Christian principles from their families at home. It is important for the church to help equip families with what they need to fulfill their role in God’s plan. This book sounds like a great resource that parents and children would both benefit from and enjoy.

Fahter’s should and always be the first male figure in their household. Not an uncle or stepfather. Introduce your child to christ at an early age is the best for all. Not just on Fatherday

I think one of the biggest goals as Children’s Pastor’s must be to encourage parents to take on the role as primary spiritual leader for their children. We can only do so much at church. Anything we can get to encourage the parents is a great thing. The book sounds excellent.

Looks great. Can’t wait to read it!

Just today a parent approached me about resources to lead their children in their spiritual walk. It would be great for our families if this book were available as a gift from the church to support them in their desire to be the spiritual leaders that God calls them to be. Though I haven’t read it yet, it sounds as though it would be a great gift to give when a child is dedicated, as well. Thanks and God Bless!

I totally want some copy… please send me … I know one way or another this will encourage and help Daddy or Dads in our church understand their responsibility as head of the household.

Finally, the pressure is off us moms. I love that this book shows the dad as spiritual leader.

I think this book was an awesome idea (most definitely inspired by God because all good and perfect gifts come from Him). Not only would this book be a great and inspiring thing for Christian children and parents, but also a huge convicting tool for unsaved children and parents as well. This simply is a blessed book. It would make a great family gift or send home gift from church. It would be a great tool to help parents to know how to teach their children about God and a great tool for the children themselves. This book may be the tool of the century to help get the family unit back where it belongs. Thanks!! God Bless!

This book seems like it would be an awesome tool for fathers, especially those newer to their faith and are not sure how to step into the role of being the spiritual leader in their families. I can’t wait to have my husband read this!

Wow, what a great book. I love the idea of encouraging and equipping fathers (and mothers) to teach God to their children. I teach k-6th at a very small church where all of my kids come alone. I long to be able to reach the parents and this is just a great way to do that. What a wonderful book, and super cute illustrations. Thanks.

I absolutely love your concept . I love the drawings and pictures and what a great way for our church fathers to teach their children about the Our Heavenly Father.Thank you……

Kimberly May 13, 2010 at 7:30 am

I love this. I teach 6-12 year olds and my heart goes out to them. Most of my children come to church alone, they walk and I know the only picture of Gods love that they have is for a few hour throught the week that I have with them. This is a great idea! It can bring God into the home in a way that just about everyone can accept. Thank you!

Yes, the parents ,fathers and mothers need to help the children to learn about God. Often children go to church with another family member . If the parents don’t help teach about Jesus and try to follow his example how will a child really understand. Often times a child will learn about Jesus at church when they go with a grandparent ,but the when they go home there is no or not much love for one another of for Jesus. They will think that it is alright to follow Jesus when you want to or want him to do something, but then the rest of the time you can do whatever you want to do.

What a great way to bring back the Biblical perspective of our family and home. Our present society has long relegated “Daddies” to the back seat and sadly many of our churches followed suit and placed them in the back pew, what a wonderful way to return them to their proper place! This little book reinforces a timeless lesson for us all while pointing us to the tested and true path set before us so many years ago!
Thank you for making the lesson so simple and enjoyable!

This is a great concept!!! Love the illustrations and simple but very important story. What a great Father’s Day gift!

This is great! As Children’s Pastors we only have a small amount of time per week. Parents have so much more one on one time to influence their children for God. It is a great reminder that they have been given a wonderfully awesome responsibillity!

Zenobia Wilson May 12, 2010 at 2:54 pm

I am particularly interested in involving father’s in family devotion; we can never over emphasize their role as head of the home.

Ruth May 12, 2010 at 2:06 pm

This book sounds great. Just like a school, parents are always needed to make something work.
