How To Make Resurrection Eggs as an Easter Craft

Easter Resurrection Eggs have become a standard Sunday school activity for many churches.  Here is a video demonstration showing how you can make your own set as Sunday school craft project. It also shows how to teach an Easter lesson for children. Click here to download the pattern she mentions in the video. For a similar idea, you can print out our church Easter Egg hunt booklet. You might also want to have some Easter coloring sheets handy.

For more videos like this, you should check out Cullen’s Abc’s. She has hundreds of video demonstrations of Sunday school activities.

Dear Tony, thank you very much for the Resurrection egg stories. I volunteered to teach Sunday School in my church for March, so we have five Sundays and what I am planning to do is approach the Easter season with Easter Symbols distributed throughoput the five Sundays and explain them to my pupils. We will end the last Sunday of the month with an egg hunting as we traditionally do in our church. Thank you and God Bless you Richly. Sincerely, Mario Rocha from Monterrey, México

I love the resurrection eggs idea. The only thing that I had a problem with, and it really isn’t what you might call a problem, was that number ten states that Joseph was one of Jesus’ disciples. Well, we are all disciples of Christ, but this reads to me as if he were one of the twelve. I know what you are saying but to children, they won’t know the difference, unless explained. Nontheless, I love this idea and plan on doing it with my Wednesday night group. I plan on letting them make their own, so they can go and tell the story of Christ’s resurrection to others. I just started teaching a Wednesday night group of 2nd-4th graders, and I use this website for all my lessons. Right now we are going over the Kings of Israel lessons. They are loving it, as so am I. Thank you for everything you are doing through this website.

  7. Thank you SO much for this great video and hunt ideas! I was planning on doing the Resurrection eggs for our community kid church program, but now I’m REALLY excited about the book for the kids too!!

Just saw the video on the resurrection eggs it is so educational and interesting. Kids can relate to the eggs and will be able to relate to the bible story. I hope to use this next year. I probably will make one for my grandson before next year and let him see this wonderful Easter version. Thank you so much.
