Have Faith! Jesus Heals! Bible Craft Ideas (Mark 5:21-43)

Print Friendly and PDF

What is faith? What does it mean to have faith and to trust in Jesus? This concept is the focus of the Gospel lesson on Mark 5, where Jesus heals a woman with a bleeding condition and a young girl who has died. These crafts celebrate that element of faith and healing. A “healing stick” reminds us that Jesus heals our hearts, even if physical relief is not immediate. A simple but fun puppet recounts the resurrection of Jairus’s daughter, who came back to life from death!

Verses or Captions to Consider…  (Main Text: Mark 5:21-43)

And immediately the girl got up and began walking (for she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement.  -Mark 5:42

And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”  -Mark 5:34

Jesus said to her… “little girl, get up!”

Faith means believing without seeing…believe!

Jesus heals… believe it!

Our faith makes us whole…Jesus heals us inside and out!
