I want to talk with my students about things that we should be thankful for. I want to guide their thinking, as always, to the Bible, and what we can be thankful for according to the Bible. I put together this acrostic poem of the word, “THANKFUL”, with words that match each letter and a Bible verse to correspond with each of those words.

- We’ve also uploaded a “blank” version with just the word THANKFUL.
After you have read through the Bible verses and discussed meaningful things to be thankful for, you can now have your students make their own acrostic with this blank form.

Forgiveness – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:19
Ultimate Sacrifice – For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit. 1 Peter 3:18
Love – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16
