Well, it’s that time again. It’s summer. We are taking a well-deserved break from school and enjoying the nice weather. It’s also the time when my boys start saying, “There’s nothing to do!” Translated, this means, “Entertain us, Mom!”
I’m prepared this year! I’ve made up a list of 60 items that they can do alone and with me. I will be making 2 jars for them. One jar will be a “Do Alone or With Your Brother” jar and the other jar will be a “Do With Mom” jar. By having the two jars, we will have some new ideas for things to do together, as well as new ideas for them to do apart from me. I’m going to print out the cards, laminate them, and sort them between the two jars.

This is a great activity for your children at home, but also for your students in your classes. These could be activities to print out and put on a ring for them to take home. Many of the activities are about helping others, reading the Bible, memorizing Bible verses, and enjoying God’s creation.
I hope this helps your children and students get some new ideas for how to use their time off in the summer, wisely.
I love this idea! Thank you for the printable cards!
Thank you for your hard work . You are a blessing for small churches without a curriculum … As a pastor’s wife , grandmother , SS teacher , VBs director … you have helped , greatly . I try to share my ideas , yours .. on Pinterest to tell others about Jesus .
God Bless,
Linda
Just stopped by to say thanks for these. Really appreciate the suggestions!
Thank you so much for all the lessons you made. Our church is very small and we don’t have enough budget for Sunday school materials, weekly activities and children special events like Christmas. Your curriculum has been our resources for 3 years now. It helps our volunteers to teach the word of God to our young minds. Our youth really loves your ideas. Thank you and God bless you all the more. Please advise me how can we give a little help to this ministry.
