I love Post-It Notes – and so do kids!
When I was working in an office, I would have post-its all around my computer screen to remind me of things that I needed to get done. They are so handy to write love notes to stick on mirrors, reminders, and to do lists.
What about a treasure hunt?
My kids love treasure hunts! For each birthday, they would want me to make up a treasure hunt to find their presents. So I thought, why couldn’t I do this with the books of the Bible?
This is a great way to help your kids learn the books of the Bible in order. Just write the books of the Bible on individual Post-Its and post around the room. Then have the children search for the books of the Bible in order. You could do just the Old Testament or New Testament or the entire Bible. I would put Revelation on a Bible, which would be your “treasure”. The treasure hunt would lead perfectly into a discussion about how the Bible is a treasure and knowing the Bible is the greatest treasure.
Thy Word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You. Psalm 119:11
Neat idea! Treasure hunts tend to always engage the children, 🙂
Very good idea. Gonna use it as an ice breaker for my workshop. Very impressive. God Bless
Awesome! Great idea. You guys have been doing a good job. I truly appreciate your help in bringing these lessons across so that our children’s ministry can be a blessing. May the God of heaven continue to bless your ministry as you reach out to others.
