I just tried this lesson in my class: preschoolers 2-5 years and they loved it! I had trouble finding material which included the kids in partaking in the story with crafts, but also had a clear message to give to the kids. Now we have two artworks hanging on our wall: one with drawings all the things the 'people of Moses' gave to God. And next to it an artwork with pictures of all kinds of things the children choose from magazines to give to the Lord. Funny results: some saw a bedroom interior and decided that we could also give a bedroom to the Lord. Thanks for this link, it was very useful and fun!

I found this to be pretty well geared to the age group. However it is lacking. It is identical to the lesson on the tabernacle that you have for ages five to eleven. Five to eleven year-old's can use scissors, and they could use Lego's rather then building blocks for the opening parts of the program as well. Five to eleven year-old's you can go into more details then you can with the preschoolers as well. I know that you are trying to make this as non denominational as possible but with the Bible as your guide you can't go wrong.

There will always be someone upset with it so my humble suggestion would be to go wild and make an entire exciting lesson plan. The more excited and passionate that the writer gets about it the more excited the teacher can get about it and in turn the more excited that the children can get about it. If you want people to be bored with the Bible and Church make it out to be boring. Give us something exciting. Light the spark of curiosity for everyone. Cause it only takes a spark to get a fire going, and soon all those around can warm up in its glowing. Psalm 100:2 says "Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing." It just seems to me that your lesson on the tabernacle portrays more of it was a burden to get it done by the time deadline put forth rather then a joy like the Lord would like to see it be.
