Noah’s Ark Song for Preschoolers (Arky Arky Song)

Watch this video to learn the Arky Arky Song for your preschool Sunday School class. This song about Noah’s Ark (not “arc”) is something the younger children at your church will love. It could be tied into a preschool lesson about Noah or just a fun activity on its own.

Arky Arky Song Lyrics (aka Rise and Shine Noah song)

The Lord told Noah to build him and arky arky,
The Lord told Noah to build him and arky arky,
Build it out of hickory barky,
Children of the Lord.

So, rise and shine and give God the glory glory,
So, rise and shine and give God the glory glory,
Rise and shine and (clap) give God the glory glory,
Children of the Lord.

The animals, the animals, they came in by two-ey two-ey,
The animals, the animals, they came in by two-ey two-ey,
Elephants and Kangaroos-eys,
Children of the Lord.

So, rise and shine and give God the glory glory,
So, rise and shine and give God the glory glory,
Rise and shine and (clap) give God the glory glory,
Children of the Lord.

It rained and poured for 40 days-ies days-ies,
Rained and poured for 40 days-ies day-ies
Almost drove those animals crazy-ies,
Children of the Lord.

So, rise and shine and give God the glory glory,
So, rise and shine and give God the glory glory,
Rise and shine and (clap) give God the glory glory,
Children of the Lord.

The Sun came out and dried up the land-y land-y,
The Sun came out and dried up the land-y land-y,
Everything was fine and dandy dandy,
Children of the Lord.

So, rise and shine and give God the glory glory,
So, rise and shine and give God the glory glory,
Rise and shine and (clap) give God the glory glory,
Children of the Lord.

Hey Lauren, dont judge too soon on that one.I read another version an older 1970’s N.I.V bible it reads Gen. 6:14 So make yourself and ark of cypress wood, make rooms in it and coat it with pitch, inside and out.
However… in the footnotes it says *14 The meaning of the Hebrew word for this is uncertain. Does it really matter? would it change how you feel about your salvation if nobody had a correct answer.Lets call it wood.

The animals they came off, they came off by three-sies three-sies
The animals they came off, they came off by three-sies three-sies
Must have been those birds and bees-ies bees-ies
    Children of the lord

So, rise and shine and give God the glory glory,
So, rise and shine and give God the glory glory,
Rise and shine and (clap) give God the glory glory,
    Children of the Lord.

In the first and second lines of the first verse, use “an” not “and”.

Also, I have always heard the rhyming word (or part of a word) at the end of the third line repeated. You have it written that way in the last verse (“dandy dandy”), but the repetition is omitted in the previous verses.

Finally, the rhyming and grammar work out better in the second verse if you say “twos-ies twos-ies”

God told Noah to build the ark out of Gopher Wood not Hickory Bark
