We all get the same question. Sometimes it’s a kids trying to make a scene in children’s church, sometimes is a little girl crying after Sunday school. Everyone is asking the BIG SANTA QUESTION. How do you handle it?

None of the above!
How about: Santa comes from the story of the real and once living Saint Nicholas.
I agree with Scott when it comes to my own children. We have put an end to the fairytale Santa with the elves and the North pole. However, there are some families in my church that have a non-believing spouse. My husband doesn’t believe in God and he held onto the Santa story until our kids were old enough (in his opinion) to hear the real story. I think we need to be very careful that we don’t inflame family issues over an innocent question.
What about Santa is a story that the devil has used to cover up the real meaning of Christmas. I really couldn’t participate in your poll as the options listed above would not be any that I would choose.
I believe that we are ministers of truth and should speak the truth.
We acknowledge the individual judgment of the parents while encouraging them to understand that the gift of Jesus is enough reason for celebration and that mommy and daddy want to give you (child) gifts to remember that God gave us a wonderful gift of His Son.
Parents seem very comfortable with this plan.
