VIDEO: The Lord's Prayer in ASL Sign Language

Print Friendly and PDF

Learning the Lord’s Prayer in American Sign Language is another way to help children internalize and retain this scripture passage. Some children’s ministries will even have the class present their work to the congregation on Sunday morning.
We found this video on YouTube that teaches the sign language movements for Jesus’ model prayer in Matthew 6:9-13.

Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

  1. This video is not in ASL. Maybe it is using signed English. All Deaf people I know use ASL, not signed English.
Please change the descriptor of the video to be accurate.
