Doubting Thomas Sunday School Worksheet

Print Friendly and PDF

Here is a free ‘spot the difference’ worksheet for your Sunday School lessons about Doubting Thomas. It was sent to use from a reader in the Philippines named Carlos Bautista. This activity sheet was used created for their Vacation Bible School, but it would be a helpful addition to your Sunday School lesson.
If you enjoy this worksheet, please leave an encouraging comment for Carlos and let him know how you will use it in your ministry.
Directions: You can click on the preview image to the right to download this file as a printable PDF file. We’ve also uploaded it as a full jpeg image for advanced editing.
This Sunday School worksheet has two similar pictures of Thomas bowing down to Jesus after the resurrection. The children should coloring the pictures and then note the differences between the two images.  This would be a good addition to your Easter Sunday School lessons. We’ve also included the text from John 20:28-29 which records Thomas’ response once he finds his faith.

Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:8-9 NIV

Need More Ideas? We have uploaded a Doubting Thomas coloring page that uses only one image from this worksheet. We also have many more free Sunday School coloring pages on our website.

  3. Thank you for the coloring and spot the difference worksheet. I have a mixed aged group class and it will be nice to give the spot the difference to the older kids and the coloring page to the young ones. Love this site!

  5. Thank you for letting us use your resources. I always check your website first when I am searching for a biblical theme and resources for my Sunday Club children from our church. We can’t see at the moment because of the Covid-10 lockdown in the UK. Your resources are inspiring and help me to continue to share Jesus’ message with our Sunday Club family until we up with them again but I am sure I will continue to use your resources then as well.
Many thanks , keep safe and God bless

  6. Hello Carlos

During this time of the pandemic, I have been giving Bible lessons to my grandchildren (my daughter has 5 kids ages 8 to 2). We call our time together “grammy school” . I want them to know and love God, and your lessons/materials are a huge help to me. I just downloaded the coloring page and the “spot the difference” page on Doubting Thomas for our lesson tomorrow.

Thank you so much, and may God bless you and your family.

  7. At the church I pastor, I make activity pages that coordinate with the sermon for the children to work on during our worship services. This was a perfect fit. Thank you for letting your work be a blessing to children all around the world.

  8. Thanks for the free worksheets and guidance. I am new to the Bible and found an older Church unfortunately Covid ravaged it. No more kids or youth group and no more teachers. We have 4 maybe that show up and I was given the gift of teaching them as I learn myself. No money to be had and it is hard to teach when you have no idea where to start. Im so glad I found yall!!

  9. My husband and I teach Sunday School for first grade boys. We used your coloring page for our study of Thomas after the resurrection. The boys loved looking for the differences. Thank you so much for your contribution in keeping our rambunctious crew focused on the miracle of the resurrection and that it’s ok to doubt sometimes because Jesus loves and forgives us.
