Thanksgiving Craft: How to Make a Thankful Poster

by Tony Kummer | Crafts,Thanksgiving | Print Print | Email

Here is another great craft idea from Cullen’s Abcs.  This craft is super easy and will help the children understand what it means to be thankful.  It would be a perfect addition to your Thanksgiving Sunday School lesson. Simply make the poster at church and send home a note for parents about how to use it as a family ministry activity. Watch the video below for a step-by-step demonstration and explanation of this craft.

And if you are looking for songs about the thanksgiving season, you don’t want to miss Cullen’s “Did you ever see a Turkey?”, a thanksgiving song for children. Cullen is also featuring a playlist of her Thanksgiving videos on her YouTube Channel, including songs and activities for children.

Free Thanksgiving Coloring Pages for Kids

We have uploaded some Thanksgiving coloring pages for kids that would be the perfect add on for nearly any lesson. Kids will add leaves to the tree with specific things they can give thanks about. Similar to the thankful poster idea.

I appreciate your ideas and faithfulness. Because I don’t have highspeed internet, (unavailable here) I can’t watch the videos. Is there anyway I can get a printed version of the content on the videos?

The basic idea is to have a poster where the children can list items they are thankful for at a set time each day (say dinnertime) leading up to thanksgiving.
